Great course in fantastic shape. Fairways were wide, greens were large, and a variety of tee box options. Greens were quick, large, several tiered, and they rolled true. Friendly staff and decent pace of play. Will certainly play it again next time I'm in the area. It was about 50 minutes from where we were staying in Destin.

Really nice course. Everything is maintained and in really good shape. You feel secluded almost the entire time. Definitely worth the money if you want a private course experience on a public course.

A true hidden gem! A true must play in the Florida Panhandle, especially the back nine. It is a unique, but fair challenge for all handi-caps with the most tee options I have ever seen. Range balls are a little higher than I am used to at $12 for a small bucket.

This is a very well maintained course that proves to be challenging and fun. It’s one of the better public courses that we have played in the area. With that being said, there was some disappointing things that we experienced while playing here. Our group of four practiced at the range prior to the round, and ended up checking in with the starter 5 minutes prior to our tee time. The starter seemed to push us off the tee in a hurry as if we were already behind, mentioning that the other group was already on the green (despite being early for our tee time). We then played roughly 4-5 holes before we had personnel on a golf cart come out and tell us that we were playing too slow and that the we needed to catch up. As I understand pace of play, we are a group of four competent golfers, playing a scramble, and rarely did we see a group behind us waiting to tee off. We then continued to play as varying personnel monitored us in carts to make sure we were playing quick enough. At multiple moments we were jogging to our balls in order to avoid being reprimanded by the staff. We even skipped getting drinks or food at the turn in order to “keep up”. We ended up playing 18 holes in just under 3 hours and 30 minutes (a more than respectable time for 4 people). All in all it was a fun course, but we never got to enjoy it due to unrealistic expectations of pace of play. For such an expensive course, it felt like we weren’t able to enjoy the round and we left quite frustrated.

Really enjoyed my time at this course, it is long but very forgiving off the tee, provides an interesting mix of short to long holes that tests all the clubs in your bag. Check the score card before you play as you might want to Tee it forward if you aren’t getting along with your driver. Greens are huge and undulating, the green speed was perfect to make them challenging but not painful.
Course was in great shape; greens were recently aerated but rolled smooth and fast. Bunkers in great condition and tee boxes were in great shape. I felt like it was a great value and some of the best golf I’ve played in the area.
Has a large practice area that is great for spending an afternoon if you don’t have time to play. I will be coming back to play next time I am there on vacation.

This course is incredible. The layout is fun and forgiving with plenty of options off the tee and the greens are large and were very receptive. The conditions were some of the best I’ve seen anywhere. Could not find a blemish and putts were rolling true. I had tee times at other courses while I was on this trip and I will be canceling those and coming back here.

4 stars is what WDGC is all about. I gave them 5 stars because it is a great inexpensive round on a well manicured course run by people who give a hoot about your golf experience. We played more expensive courses with broken tees everywhere on tee box, gnarly cups and bumpy greens. Small but adequate clubhouse, nice cart and great staff. The course is under construction and the changes will be spectacular. I say this because even under construction, you can see they are thinking about their customers. If value and courtesy make a good course great, then 5 stars.
