Emailed about the price of a small wedding in Feb and got -

“Thank you for your interest in our club. We are mainly an outdoor space
for wedding's so possibly not the right venue for you.

Thank you for considering our club.”

LORI

Then asked if they do not book in Feb and received

“ Yes but my ceremony site is outdoors.” from Lori again but never answering my question - not letting me decide if the venue is right for us or not.

The past few years in NorCal it’s been a decent temperature in February and I’ve already considered the weather. I simply asked for a price range. Just rude.

This year I had the pleasure of having my birthday brunch at the Wild Oak Saddle Club this year and the experience was exceptional. My guests and I were blown away by this amazing, beautiful and historic venue in the heart of Sonoma Valley. The view from the deck, overlooking the polo field is spectacular. Now, let's discuss the food and service... FIVE STARS. Everyone was incredibly kind, the food was exceptional and everyone had a fabulous time! A BIG thank you to Lori and the team at the Wild Oak Saddle Club

We had our wedding reception at Wild Oak Saddle Club in September. The setting was perfect for photos, dinner out on the deck had the amazing backdrop of the hills and dancing under string lights to finish off the night. Perfect place for a wedding!

My fiancé and I visited a few venues when we started planning our wedding, but we were blown away by the Saddle Club. The venue itself is beautiful with oak trees, a bocce court, and ceremony space. In addition, the views it afforded were spectacular with the polo field and surrounding mountains and trees capturing the light perfectly. The fact that the Club offers onsite staff and prepares their own menu in-house were also pluses. We couldn’t believe the food during our menu tasting. The beef loin was one of the best we had ever had – the chef and kitchen staff is legitimately amazing. The Club Manager, Lori Darling, was very thorough and flexible. She helped put us at ease during the planning process.

Back to the headlamps. In October, Sonoma County had a large wildfire and power outages to contend with. Prior to the wedding, we worked with Lori on back-up generation. The Club has generators onsite, and we made plans for what we would do if an outage happened. Low and behold, an outage was scheduled for our wedding day, and the power went out about six minutes into our ceremony. However, with the generators already set up, the staff ready, and our DJ at the ready, the minor power going out was a minor – and quickly remedied – glitch with the generators quickly kicking on. While we didn’t have power for the rest of the wedding ceremony and reception, you wouldn’t have known. The outdoor lights (trees, patio, dining area) were all powered. The heat lamps and fire pit still worked. Inside was a little darker but lanterns and candles created an extra cozy ambiance.

To put it mildly: Lori, the head chef Joe, and the staff knocked it out of the ballpark. The venue looked amazing, and the back-up power worked flawlessly. Joe and his team prepared the most amazing wedding dinner by headlamp and candlelight with no electric power in the kitchen. Our guests raved about the food, the staff, and the service. People are still saying (a little over a month later) that our dinner was best wedding food they’ve had and how wonderful everyone at the club was, particularly under the circumstances.

We are so glad we had our wedding at the Saddle Club. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue and team to pull off the big day. We are extra appreciative of their preparedness and calm during a chaotic day and thank them for making our special day be just that.

Excellent food, service and views. This is a private, member only club not open to public. Laurie Darling, who is the GM, is the secret sauce that makes this club so special!
