Waypoint Church Nocatee - Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida

I'm from Nocatee area and was visiting local churches in the Nocatee community. There are several good choices and one of those "must visit" options is Waypoint Church.

Upon arriving at church on my first visit I was pleasantly surprised at how friendly everyone was. The atmosphere was low pressure, relaxed and very family friendly. Lot's of kids and families "happy to be there". It made me smile and reminded me that there are still many good people in the world. Not sure about you, but I like happy churches. I have enough stress in my regular life 🙂

(fast forward a few weeks.............)

Now, I love reading the Bible and choose to follow the words that Jesus taught. The world is a dark place and if you're like me, I need God's help to be a better man, father, husband and neighbor... I think we all do, right? So far, my experiences at Waypoint seem to be helping me toward those ideals. They really are loving and passionate about their Christian faith. Not in a "judgy" kind of way, but in a friendly, brotherly love kind of way. I like that in a church family (or any family for that matter lol).

After visiting several times now, I feel I can share an honest opinion on the ministry here as well. Pastor James (the lead church Pastor) is a good and godly man. He is kind, pleasant and really shares a solid, uplifting message. I've been inspired to live a better Christian life and have made a lot of new friends along the way. My problems aren't smaller, but my faith is God is greater, and that is the game changer for me. The church seems to have an excellent kids ministry as well.

In summary, I'd wrap it up this way:
Good people, good church, greater faith in God.
That's my Waypoint Church experience.

My son went to pre-school there and now my daughter is enrolled in the 3s class.
We moved to Nocatee two years ago and we have no family around. I must say that Waypoint became that for us: family. They truly care about the kids, they are involved in the community and they clearly love what they do. The school is clean, they have an outstanding staff and value communication, which is so important in these first years of school. They also teach Christian values weekly, which is extremely important for us. If you are looking for a pre-school in the area, definitely consider Waypoint. You won’t be disappointed.

Waypoint is a very welcoming, Christ centered, and biblical faith community. As soon as my wife and I started visiting we where welcomed, connected and encouraged in our faith. We are now covenant members and excited to be apart of this community for years to come.

My wife and I moved to Nocatee in 2018. We visited several churches in the area looking for the right one for us. We visited Waypoint one Sunday and immediately knew we found what we were looking for. It just felt right. We have become involved in Waypoint to a level we hadn't in our prior spiritual journey. Being involved at Waypoint is a casual yet very uplifting experience. It's like being on a journey with family, from Bible study to getting together to as new friends.

My son really enjoys going to Promisetown school, the teachers are all well over qualified, kind, supportive in any way you need them to be for your kid to do well. Keep in mind preschool is a lot about social skills the little ones are learning. Everyone, including the head of school Brian, is open to suggestions and questions to be asked.

Not sure what some of the issues below are regarding because I have only had amazing experience's with Promisetown. My kids absolutely love going to the school and their teachers! Jenn and Liz are very professional and have been very helpful every step of the way! Very very glad my kids go to Promisetown Preschool!

I was not going to post a review but now I feel obligated. My daughter had her first day of school almost 3 months ago here, she is 3. I dont have the energy to write the book of the bad experiences we encountered in just one week. However it has been 3 months and my 3 year old still regularly talks about how mean the teachers were. Today we were walking into her new school that she loves and when I asked what her favorite thing is about going to school she said" they are not mean like the other school". Waypoint is yet to figure out that they are dealing with 3 year olds. They lack compassion and experiance. It starts at the top with Brian. If this school was anywhere but nocatee it would not have made it past the first year. We had several nieghbors that had the same experience.

Waypoint is a great family church and we have enjoyed going for over a year now! You can’t beat the friendly members & the fact that there are so many groups to get involved in.
