I'm not sure what agenda the reviewer 'Qunicy' has, but the long-winded review from a new account with only 1 review tells me that they have a grudge against either the owner and/or the staff, and attempted to drag down the review of this establishment with their 1-star rating.

My husband and I were in town 11/29/24 - 12/01/24 and visited The Twisted Rooster on Friday for a drag show featuring Remini Mogul and T Lo Ivy. Melbourne lacks LGBTQ inclusive spaces, so we were excited to be in a welcoming space (which is rare for the Central & Northern Florida Atlantic coastline).

Despite it being a rainy evening, the crowd was enthusiastic and the hostesses were engaging, entertaining, stunning and very kind. We truly enjoyed how they engaged, despite a smaller crowd due to the weather & time of year. Support local queer art & remember to TIP YOUR QUEENS! You can get singles from the bar, just make sure you have CashApp or Venmo setup on your phone.

We received great table service on the floor in addition to cold, well-made drinks (bourbon & ginger ale; cosmopolitan; beer). The bartenders were busy but took time to chat with us when we asked for recommendations for fine dining in the area.

The owner was extremely welcoming to us, stopping by the bar to chat with us and provide his own dining recommendations. He offered us a drink on the house, but we opted not to out of manners and courtesy.

The bathroom has cheeky, eclectic decor. I am a bit of a germophobe, and was not concerned.

We will be visiting the area again for our 10-year wedding anniversary in late February 2025, and to explore more of Melbourne, as we are looking to move from Ocala. I hope The Twisted Rooster enjoys another 6-years of operations!

Drag BINGO was so much fun! The staff totally won me over with their energy. Anita was the host and she was HILARIOUS and kept the crowd engaged. The drinks were super good thanks to the bar tender Sean, he was funny as all get out too with his blunt humor which totally fits the whole vibe of the place.

Appetizers were good (chips salsa & queso, Cuban egg roll, empanadas), I would love to see more on the menu in the future. I definitely recommend coming and trying this place out, I’m happy I did 🙂

My friends and I loved this place for a night out. It felt safe and the vibe was great all around. The bartender was fantastic and the drag show was beautiful.

I’ve been to this establishment many times. The environment is always welcoming and the staff as well as the owner have always gone above and beyond to make sure my friends and I have a pleasant experience. I absolutely love the safe environment they provide and recommend that everyone come in and check it out. Not to mention the awesome drink deals they have on a regular basis and well as entertaining drag shows..

I recently visited the Twisted Rooster Bar, hoping for a fun night out with friends. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by several significant issues that left me thoroughly disappointed.

First and foremost, the behavior of the owner was appalling. Not only was he rude and dismissive to customers, but he also seemed entirely disinterested in providing even basic customer service. His demeanor created a tense and unwelcoming atmosphere that made it difficult to enjoy our time at the bar.

Moreover, the prices of drinks were exorbitant, far exceeding what one would expect to pay even in a trendy establishment. The quality of the drinks did not justify their high cost, leaving a bitter taste in the mouth both figuratively and literally.

Adding insult to injury, the state of the bathrooms was simply unacceptable. They were dirty, unkempt, and gave off a foul odor that made using them an unpleasant experience. It was clear that proper hygiene and cleanliness were not a priority for the management.

To make matters worse, there were instances of inappropriate behavior from both staff and patrons, creating an uncomfortable environment for everyone present. This behavior went unchecked by the management, further highlighting their lack of concern for the well-being of their customers.

Overall, my visit to the Twisted Rooster Bar was a regrettable one. I would strongly advise against patronizing this establishment until significant improvements are made in both management attitude and the overall quality of service. There are plenty of other bars in the area that offer better experiences at more reasonable prices.

The show was great. Brunch was delicious. The atmosphere was drama free. Pricing was in line with the quality and the staff professional. Highly recommend checking it out. All are welcome to this label free establishment.

Owner and bartender tonight said I had to wrap it up and be out of the bar by 1:50. The prior night...this was not the case. I mentioned the customer service was great the prior night which is why I returned but tonight...but tonight a whole different story. I told the bartender her service was poor and she simply said , you gotta wrap it up. Owner said that to not return simply because I said the customer service was great last night but poor tonight. I regret leaving a 40% + tip. Never coming back again and don't recommend to anyone. Owner is nasty and rude. Customers come first but not in this establishment. I regret supporting this business. I wouldn’t speak to my enemy this way let alone a supportive patron. I’ve worked in the service industry for many years as a waiter…. And I’ve never experienced this kind of hate and disgust before. They were probably just trying to kick me out and have an after party because shortly after they closed at 2am…they turned their music back on…. Must be nice. Everything I said is the truth. I also used my hotspot on my phone to work on my computer. I also respected your business hours… your obviously mistaken. If telling your customer “wrap it up” at 1:45 is polite… you got it.
