In the beginning things were all good, I had booked a time a couple days prior for me and some friends, but when I got there they told us they had booked our time with the time of the high school golf kids so we had to start on the back nine or skip the first 3 holes, after I was given a sheet that showed me what holes where cart path only which is normal I understand, but once we got out there we where playing we noticed that every hole was a temporary green even though it wasn’t listed in the booking. So now I had to deal with these kids and also deal with “temporary” greens which are really just a flag shoved in the middle of the fairway. There were multiple holes that where reachable with literal wedges they where 40 yards. then we were on a hole that was fine to bring the cart on and the park ranger comes up to us and was literally yelling at us about being on the grass. We got off and apologized about being on the grass but also stated that it wasn’t marked on the sheet and yet he still was yelling and complaining to us about how we should have stayed on the path, he also stated that he had already warned us 2 times and that next time he sees us on the grass even if it’s one tire he would kick us off the course and ban us. But that was the first time I ever saw this old man. He must have mixed us up with other people but that was completely in unacceptable with the way this man handled the situation, he was rude and treated me and my friends like we where little kids, especially since the cart path looked like this

UPDATE: Third time out. The starter Chuck was such a happy and friendly fella that I couldn't help but be in a good mood on the first tee. First of all, disregard all the negative reviews. This is a great course. Loved every hole. Tight, challenging, fantastic greens that run true, albeit a few weeds here and there. Very good fairways. Very few patchy spots. Move your ball if it's an issue, but I never had to. Strategically placed bunkers force you to bring your "A" game. Very good electric carts. Great deal on GolfNow. Great pace of play. We let 2 singles by and still finished in 3 hours. I golfed with another Canadian and a local fella who gave us good course intel. Lots of trees and ponds. Just what I'm used to back home. Tough but fair from the white tees at 6000 yards. I only hit my driver 240 to 260 yards, so there was no way I was playing from the 7000 yd tips. Very enjoyable. I liked it much better than Ventura or Rio Pinar. I'll definitely be back.

First time visiting this course and wasn’t to impressed. The staff in the golf shop and Ranger were friendly. The course was NOT a $58.00 course, $25.00 maybe. The greens were really bad. They were very bumpy and not sure what was growing on them besides grass, fungus maybe? The T boxes were in bad shape as well with hardly any grass in spots. We liked the layout of the course. There is a lot of water and trees so somewhat challenging. The cart girl was not the most social/ friendliest cart girl we ever met, maybe she was having a bad day or forced to work News Years day To top off our first time experience was the not so friendly bar tender. We walking in and sat down waiting for a server as the bar tender saw us as we were next to the bar. For 10 minutes he never said anything. We got up and asked him is there a server and he said No I’m it! You would think as he saw us sitting there he would have said something. Not a good first time experience you can bet it was our last.

This has got to be the worst upkept golf course in central Florida aside from Wekiva. $60 to put in absolute dirt. THEY couldn’t even aerate these greens if they tried!! It’s crazy because it has always been like this but for $60 for 1:08pm tee time is outrageous. Tee boxes are over grown, dirt everywhere, everything’s overgrown/dead. AND this is owned by the city? And home of UCF golf team? What a scam. It’s the only golf course that’s open to public so people have no choice but to play it. But I can assure you there are plenty more better golf courses then this. You might as well take your money and go to Tee it up right down the road. What a joke. These photos aren’t even half of anything. This course isn’t worth $20 like it was back in the day when it was STILL terrible. Good luck anyone playing this cow pasture

I previously saw a review complaining about people that book on GN. And he was correct. They absolutely were rude to me and my playing partner. The starter point blank said you booked on GN for 10:32, as a foursome, and you have to go off at exactly that time. I got to the course at 09:30 and no one had teed off between then. Without a question the most inconsiderate staff l have ever dealt with. Now the course… the cart was ok. No GPS or USB connection. The driving range was closed (l was told not unusual). The practice green was a little beat up. The tee boxes were 50/50. The fairways were very wet. Constantly forced to clean clumps of mud off my ball. The bunkers were in good shape. The greens were also 50/50. Definitely patchy. All in all it’s a great layout, but between the staff and the course conditions, l don’t think I’ll go back. The best hole (lMHO) was the Par 3 - 7th. 150’ish over the river, to an elevated green.
