I tried to get my daughter signed up here because her friend was also signed up. It was waitlisted for 10u which was what she got signed up with based on their age chart and her birth certificate. Her friend who is one month younger got put in 8u. I kindly asked if there was any room in 8u since her friend was in that group and there was no space in 10u, the response I got was very apathetic and a bit rude.

Response: 10u means under 10, or 8-9 year old players it is all done by birth year, if the system says she belongs in 10u then that is where she goes.

I replied back. My daughter is 7 years old not 8.

Response: it goes by year, Someone born in January 2010 is 14 now, someone born in October 2010 is 13 now, but they are in the same division because they are both born in 2010.

Again, I’m not asking about the math of the years. I understand what the chart means. It’s not rocket science… I get that there is an age chart but I don’t agree with it. My daughter won’t be 8 until after soccer is over so why does she have to play with 9 year olds? That doesn’t make sense to me. She has never even played soccer. I wanted her to play with her friend so that she could get used to playing on a team and learning a discipline, not play with kids much bigger (and probably better) so that she would feel inadequate and not want to play again.

We will sign her up for TYSL next year. This put a bad taste in my mouth.

Tulare AYSO is the best soccer organization out there. I love the fact that they build on the skills of the coaches, referees, and children. I am a 12u coach and the fact that all training was free and I gained so much knowledge about how to coach my team properly.
I recommend Tulare AYSO 110% of the time. They are there to support the growth and development of all abilities of our players.

Signed my daughter up an they messaged me they didn't have a coach so I asked for a refund then a week later they said they found a coach an I said no I already put my daughter in something else an they refused to give me a refund my kid never went to a single practice or game
Plus I was still in the kids team group chat an from what I seen it was madness the coach they " found" never even showed up so practices and games
