A cold Friday start (39°) The rental clubs were very nice Taylor Made
The staff was very attentive. The course was in very good condition just a few thin lies and only one of the greens was poor.
But overall a beautiful track and no condos on the course to hit with a pulled 5 iron

Gorgeous course. Staff and amenities are top notch. Greens and fairways are tournament shape. The layout as well is challenging but fun to play. A lot of the fairways are pretty forgiving so I wouldn't consider it a tight course. You're very close to the beach so the breeze is nice. We played at one of the hottest times of the year and it was still very tolerable. Highly recommend.

We Had the best time playing yesterday. The course played great, is in real nice condition, and the people were SUPER friendly. Cheryl and Craig took great care of us getting us checked in, and on the tee box. My guests and I had a great time. We rented three sets of clubs and the Taylor Made QI 10s are phenomenal. Keep up the great work at Amelia River and thanks for a great golfing experience. 😎😎

Nice facility, nice people, great layout, cool little island style par 3 that’s said not worth $180 including cost of log ball. Fairways had very little grass on them and many bare spots. Greens had been sliced no complaints there that’s just maintenance but again to pay that rate is wrong and best yet to come they put a tournament out In the middle of our round. Only had to wait on every shot for last four holes, did I mention cost was like $175 without a logo ball? Really they started a scramble tournament at 9 , I had a 7:30 t time.

I can't comment on the course, which actually seemed quite nice driving in. I only went to the practice range. I'm staying at the Omni. I didn't have time for a round, but wanted to practice. The driving ranges at Oak Marsh and Fernandina Golf Club are closed. The pro at the latter suggested Amelia River. I purchased two bags of balls ($16 each). I asked if the yardage markers were accurate and the young man behind the counter told me that were since it was mats only. They weren't. I have a range finder so no big deal. However, I only hit 10 balls. To begin, the hitting area wasn't level. The first ball I pulled out of the bag rolled toward me about a foot. The guy next to me even commented about the uneven hitting area. Most disappointing, though, the mats were completely worn. It was like hitting off indoor/outdoor carpet. They were so worn that they were scuffing my club. I took the the two bags of balls back into the pro shop and told the them they could have them. I gave them a quick assessment and started to leave. Neither of the club pros offered to return my money so I kept walking.

My wife and I visit Amelia Island a couple of times a year, and will add a few more annual visits once I retire next June. I've never played Amelia River and now probably never will. First impressions are lasting.

We had a blast and were very well taken care of at the Amelia River club!!!! They have a very well run machine here for sure. We were greeted by the starter who got everyone off on time, the guy in the pro shop helped with our rental club and the cart girl made great drinks very quickly. Played our round in four hours, amazing!!!

Made the drive up from Jacksonville to play a round today. Unbelievable course. I’ve played a few in Amelia Island, but this is my favorite hands down. The amenities, the staff, and the views on this course were remarkable. Highly recommend!
