I stayed here for a wedding. Two nights. The first night I realized that the heat was not functioning. It was blowing cold air and making the room even colder. When I got to the room it was 65 degrees. Unfortunately for me it was during a cold front. The next day no hot water. I called the front desk around noon to report the water and had already called about the temp. They restarted the boiler and the hot water finally came on. It makes me wonder how the kitchen was functioning with no hot water to wash dishes.... In response to the heat I was told there was a space heater in the closet. However. No CO2 detectors so no thank you please fix the heat. The next night when I got to the room it was 62 degrees. As I returned at 945pm on the second night a room change was offered. Too little too late. I piled all of the covers from both beds on the bed I was sleeping in to at least get a little warmth. The morning temp in the room was 60. I left at 730 am. The service and the communication is just not there and what I would expect for a country club. I would not recommend staying at this hotel unless it is warm out and you only need A/C.

We stayed here during Hurricane Helene and the staff was so incredibly kind and accommodating. The rooms were huge and very clean. The grounds are also beautiful and a great place to walk around!

Food downstairs was very, very good.

We will definitely be back! Thanks TPCC!

This review is coming from a golf member that has been a member for 3 years.

This is a good honest review of what to expect.

First off the members are great, the MGA and pro shop team do a hell of a job organizing tournaments for members and making sure they enjoy their golf experience. If it wasn’t for the members I would have left after a year.

Second the layout of the course is one of the toughest in the Tampa area. It will make you a better golfer.

Third is conditions of course. When it’s good, it’s usually really good. It’s just not good often. Fairways are usually pretty consistent and well kept. Bunkers are also in great condition. The greens have been super slow for some time now and they act like it’s impossible to get them to a tournament speed when needed. The fringes have improved.

The practice driving range is mediocre at best. I think we have had opportunity to hit off grass on a Saturday morning 3x in a year playing every Saturday.

Next is the price. Since I joined my dues have gone up over 40% in 2.5 years getting no real upgrades. Honestly I’d have no gripe if the course/locker room/ practice facilities were improving. The entire course has taken a step back while raising the price consistently. Members have made it known but little has been done internally. They seem to nickel and dime every thing they can from you to get a few points on the bottom line. It seems they may care more about that than the membership.

The food is usually pretty good and the bar staff is usually on top of everything. Dinners seem better than lunch as they have more staff and a better menu.

The locker room is older with nothing special. You have to pay for a locker if you want one, which was a first for me in 3 clubs I’ve been apart of.

The gym is solid, the pool is old and not a place to really bring your family.

The hotel is nice but also old. Rooms are large but feels like you are staying at grandmas.

Overall I couldn’t recommend someone to join at this point. It feels like one of those places that is just taking our money at this point and seeing no improvements. That could change in the future as I recommended others in the past knowing how great palms was when I first joined it was closer to 4.5 stars. I’d give it 2.5 stars if it let me today.

My review is directed more toward the wedding experience we had at this venue. I am the wedding planner for my bride & groom that recently got married at Tampa palms country club on 12/3. I want to give a special shout out "Sierra" the event coordinator at this venue. From the start of planning up to the wedding day, she was an absolute joy to work with. It has been an absolute pleasure working with her for the past 10 months in planning for my bride and groom's wedding. She really puts in all effort in assuring that your special day will be prefect. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone who is planning on getting married!! This venue is just breath taking and such a sight to see! From its natural beauty sitting on a golf course, to all of its greenery, and water backdrop to the lake, its just such a beautiful place! On top of that, the food is top tier, excellent! Its really delicious!! As a wedding planner, I've seen a lot of wedding venues, and this one is by far one of my fav's! Book, get married, and have the wedding of your dreams! Don't forget to ask for "Sierra" she got you!!!

Update *** I celebrated my 1 year wedding anniversary this evening at the restaurant and it was amazing. The staff, as usual, was super friendly and attentive. Sean, the food and beverage manager came over several times to make sure we were doing well and our server Amy was so nice and gave outstanding service as well. My husband and I love Tampa Palms!

I recently had my wedding at Tampa Palms, and to say it was a dream come true is an understatement! Sierra is amazing to work with and so sweet and communicative. One of the main reasons I booked the Palms is for the hotel upstairs, 25 of the most spacious rooms I've ever seen. I was able to block the whole hotel up until a month before the wedding. The only downside, the beds are super soft and I didn't find them that comfortable, I didnt sleep the best. Jason the food and beverage manager is awesome as well, he's great to work with and super accommodating. The food is excellent, the service is superb. If I could do I all over again I would pick the Tampa Palms over and over!!

Serves good quality food but waiter service is bad and rude. A disgrace considering bar tenders and other staff work hard to give a good service.
