I’m rejoining the club after an absence from the area for a year and there was a mix up about the rejoin fee special but Mike and the rest of the team worked it out so I’m very excited to come back and enjoy this place

I was a member from 2020-2023 and it is one of the best gyms around the world let alone in Nevada County. The outdoor gym and the hot tub in particular are gems.

I have never had such a frustrating experience. For over a month now, I have been trying to get a membership at this gym. First they were having issues with their phone line, and every time I called to make an appointment, the call was dropped. I left messages asking for my call to be returned, and it never was. Next came problems with the website, which apparently isn’t allowing people to make appointments with Holden and is glitching for classes and swim appointments. I came in person a total of three times, Trying to catch or make an appointment with Holden. After finally being able to make an appointment, I came in only to be treated quite dismissively, never receiving an apology for how hard it was to make an appointment to join, and only to be told Nurses don’t qualify for the first responder discount ( despite being told that we do, and being given the pricing for the discount by Holden himself during one of the many dropped phone calls). I’ll take my business somewhere where they appreciate not only their customers (and other people’s time), but the life-saving care that nurses absolutely do provide on the frontline. What a disappointment from a local business.

Staff members earned them back a star, they’re prompt, clean and polite however I have not even been at the facility 1 month and have already had extremely uncomfortable experiences in the men’s locker room. Member taking my belongings, and resetting my locker code when I go to get my stuff. This is unacceptable and inappropriate! Lastly and probably the worst experience that I and other members have shared is the cruising in the locker room/ taking photos. As a member of the lgbtq community myself, I’m appalled by the behavior of most of my fellow members. My body regardless of how attracted you are, regardless of my “out” status is NOT a community object. Eyes, hands and cameras should stay on one’s own person - ALWAYS! I cancelled today out of my extreme discomfort

Edit: I don’t have a single photo of myself in your locker room nor have I ever spoken to a single one of the associates besides when I confronted them about my phone being taken. The lack of accountability is mind boggling. How awful you’d rather spill lies to cover yourself up than work toward a better gym. And to think I praised the staff in my initial comment! In fact my membership won’t expire till the 10th, even though I found another (better gym) I’ll gladly come in to speak with the associates about your accusation

Pricey but worth it! Great gym. I usually feel uncomfortable in gyms, this has been the best one so far. The staff is friendly and helpful. I love the pool and new steam room. They have cold plunges, a hot tub, so many amenities! Definitely check it out!

Love this Gym. Love the cleanliness. Everyone is nice and works to keep the place clean and neat. Proper equipment for the gains. The cold plunge, sauna, spa, steam room are amazing. A++

I recently started attending this gym after being, out of gyms for over 10 yrs. As someone who spent over 20 yrs. In gyms, from Alaska, Arizona, Texas, North Highland, Minnesota, Manitoba, Seatle, Spokane & many others as a 20 yr. Competition Hockey player. This gym & all there facilities are absoletly impress. Hands down nicest facilities, Staff, fellow members & environment. Ive ever experienced. I can say, I have found a home in this place. Despite a fixed income, the investment in myself & my daughter is priceless!!
