Awesome gym! I had zero martial arts experience before joining. The coach is patient and knowledgeable, making me feel very welcome from the start. I never felt overwhelmed, although this gym will definitely push you. I highly recommend anyone interested in a striking martial art to check out this gym.

Coach Stephen is amazing. First time in the gym with him and knew it was a fit, a great coach and super talented. I got so much out of the first session. If you are interested in getting proper training in MMA, this is it; I am excited for our next session.

Best boxing gym I've ever been to (I train at Goat Shed in Miami, which is an MMA focused gym), and a real pleasure to work with. Really smart, really safe. Old school boxing drills and you can see why so many champions come from here. A real gem.

I came to the Combat Club as a new student with no experience in boxing. I must say that I really enjoyed it! I had a fantastic time there with the teatcher and the other students!

I never felt ostracized while working out and learning a new skill. I appreciate the things I’ve been able to learn in this space, everyone is just here to self improve, and Im happy I was able to learn a new skill without feeling self conscious or looked down by anyone.I cant give enough praise to the teachers, Stephen Bass and Norman, who I think have curated a great and welcoming space for both veteran and newcomers to enjoy.

If you are in the area of Savannah and have the opportunity to try The Combat Club please do! It’s a great place run by amazing people!! 🥊

Stephen let me drop in while I was in town on business and both he and his students were welcoming to me. Their location is super easy to find and really central to this historic town! He had a boxing coach working when I arrived so I watched and listened soaking up what I could. After boxing ended they went right in to light warm-up for grappling which is focused on reality-based techniques meant to work in the ring and on the streets. Coach rolled with everyone dialing up or down the resistance letting students learn the moves and then work into and back out of trouble. No mandatory uniforms and no gis so it's hot a low cost entry and no snobbery. Super intimate gym with enough space to work and learn. The friendly atmosphere was awesome, highly recommended! Dang Uber got there so fast I didn't get to snap a picture with the big fish but would definitely drop in again in the future and will get one then! Thank you!

My favorite gym in Savannah! Coach is legit and fun. Allowing for true training amongst beginners and advanced with enough freedom for sparring and a great training workout. A true home gym that feels like fam. I will miss it here after staying in the area for a month! Thanks coach!!!

Stephen "Big Fish" Bass is the coach of Combat Club. He is a great knowledgeable coach. He's had professional experience in Combat sports and he is a really good teacher/coach. He has the patience to teach beginners and the expertise to coach experienced Boxers looking to get a good work out and learn something new! Highly recommended. Come to work!
