This is my first time visiting SATTA Jericho location dedicated for league and tournament play, as I was cordially invited by head coach Sammie aka Sameh Awadallah, former Egyptian national team member. What a table tennis heaven hidden in heart of Long Island!!! It was a pleasant drive for me to go from Brooklyn after work. Took me about 1.5 hours to arrive at the back of a warehouse like the ones you find in Breaking Bad, as I followed my Waze GPS. Not knowing if I am in the right building, I used my Jedi and table tennis instinct to follow the bouncing ping pong noise and attempted to entered the building through the back doors. 1st door locked; 2nd door locked; and finally I nailed it opening the 3rd door and out came Sammie greeting me with open arms. I was in awe to see over 70 players in the venue for a league night. OOF, I can't even get that many players for my own sanctioned tournaments. I ran into many familiar faces like AYTTO coach Yasiris Ortiz, Kelly Liang, Lucy Chen, Sho - The Sho man Miyazaki, Catherine Dong, and Kevin Hana, the youngest boy (11 years old?) who almost took me down in 5 games. I was told by my colleagues to check the mobile app for my draw. It's well organized where players are pre determined into various divisions and you are simply go to your tables and call next to complete your matches at your own pace. Once done, enter the scores in the app and send calculate the standings and ratings using A2M Sports app. Best was to wait next to challenge the 2600+ rated master guru, Sammie, himself for a match to death. Most went down in flames but happily as they gave their best to try to take down the best player there. All in all it was definitely worthy of visiting SATTA Jericho location to spend your Friday night to hone your skills and challenge your peers.

SATTA has to be the gold standard for table tennis in long island! I am a local Obstetrician Gynecologist who played table tennis in high school. Now Im 41 and started with Coach Sam last fall. I have never missed the famous FRI/SAT league. It is fun and competitive. It is the highlight of my week! All the players and are decent folks and I made several friendsm. Coach Sameh is an ITTF qualified coach and former US National Team Coach. In addition to the league, I started personal coaching sessions with coach Sam which has significantly improved my game. I was super confident at the last league and defeated all my opponents with quality strokes that Coach Sam helped me develop.
My 7 year old son has also become a promising young player and Iike many other kids coached at SATTA, I expect him to be successful in table tennis.

My daughter has been learning table tennis at SATTA since October 2022. Her game skills have improved a lot since then. She plays with different players during group lessons and league matches, and that has improved her confidence level in the game. Individual lessons with the coach is very helpful for faster learning. Sameh is a great coach who is attentive to precise eye- hand coordination skills required to improve the game. I would recommend SATTA to anyone who wants to learn or improve their table tennis skills.

This place is amazing. My kids can not wait to come practicing every single week! In a very short time, they were able to make remarkable progress that can definitely lead them to practice professionally. Everyone is courteous and genuinely keen to make every player move to the next level. Keep it up Sameh and team!

I've been getting table tennis lessons from Sameh for about five months now, and I can say he has truly taken my game to the next level. Not only is Sameh incredibly skilled and knowledgeable, but his coaching style is also highly effective and enjoyable.

Coach Sameh is a great and fantastic coach. Over the past year, he has taught me so much. I would not be as close to where I am today without him. He got rid of my bad habits and continues to put in his time to make me a better player and improve. I play at his league on Friday and it helps me and everyone else. It is competitive and we have all levels and ages. He helps all ages. From young children to adults.

I started going to SATTA league last winter in October 2021 since it was close to home. It's held on Saturday during the fall/winter and then on Fridays during spring/summer. I was struck by how young kids ages 7-16 played so well and their skills levels were amazing. This spring I decided to take lessons from Coach Sameh who himself is accomplished international player and has played professionally in the United States. Since then my game has improved a lot and I able to beat players that I was not able beat earlier. I like the way he explains things and makes you practice till you get the technique right. My forehand loop has improved a lot and my game sense too. I will be working on other strokes during my lessons. His young trainees are doing well in national level championships.
I would highly recommend SATTA if you want to play Table Tennis on LI and improve your skills.
