My child has been with Sol for a year and has grown tremendously both in his basketball skills and sportsmanship thanks to the fantastic coaching team. All of the coaches are friendly, compassionate and professional. If you have a child who likes basketball, look no further, Sol is THE best place for them.

I can’t say enough great things about San Diego Sol. The coaching staff is great. Family/Team environment. My daughter’s basketball skills vastly improved going here. My only regret is that I wish I knew about Sol earlier. I would have sign her up right away. Give them a try. You won’t regret it.

I’ve been coaching in this gym for years. Always get sad when I hear the stories about them possibly closing the place down. It’s pretty much the only large public basketball facility in San Diego so any and all major tournaments that come to town have to come here and if they close this place down it will definitely have an effect on local development of the game. My son and his teams also play here pretty much every weekend. I could post so many pictures but I think google would kick me off the platform. Great place for memories.

Sol has been the most consistent and available basketball program for kids prior to and after the pandemic. Their availability in the north county (San Elijo) expands their reach and opportunity for kids. They promise a well balanced and inclusive program. My son is 14 and he has been part of the Sol family since he was 6!

It’s pretty good. Two issues: games are very short, and coaches allowed some Delta players in Local; the rest of the team then had to carry them.

San Diego Sol is an excellent organization for youth basketball of all abilities and skill levels. Not only do they teach the values and discipline of being in sports at an early age like how to handle winning and how to handle losing, how to play as a team and how to go 1 on 1, and how you will “get out what you put in,” the professional coaches and friendly staff members make it a great experience for our son and our family/friends at both practices and games.

Sol and their expert coaches (specially Coach Lasalita) have been a fantastic team for our son’s growth and confidence in basketball for many years now. Can’t recommend them enough for your basketball needs. This is from our son practicing and playing at both of their wonderful practice/training facilities, Play by Play located in San Marcos and Alliant International University located south of Poway.

We are rhythmic gymnastics school, and we were renting the space from them during our gym closure for repairs. Everybody at that facility and at SOL basketball is friendly, and they helped us a lot. By observing what was happening at the facility, I would say that their philosophy is the same as we have at our school. They take every child without regards to so called "talent" , and they teach them very well.They help every child to reach their maximum potential in the sport, and they help raising happy and confident people. I saw so many happy faces at the gym.
