Big rec was a hidden gem for us and we had a Great time. I had my best round this year, the weather was nice and the course was in good shape. Place of play was a little slow, but tolerable. Watch out for the squirrels, they're smarter here!!

Just paid $51 for course in horrible condition. So disappointed. Hadn't played Big Rec in a few years but went out yesterday after friends have been boasting of it's great condition. Tee boxes were overgrown and muddy likely because they were seeding and watering. Greens slow and bumpy and looked they weren't rolled in days. Sandy areas for Ground Under Repair conditions where it should been roped off. How hard is it to fill ball cleaners w/ soap and water? Showed all simple signs of course neglect from bad management. This was a $20 goat track.

The Recreation Park 18 Golf Course is a great wedding venue. Having our ceremony and reception at the same location was important to us, and Rec 18 exceeded our expectations. They offered a stunning grand hall and an outdoor garden that easily accommodated our needs. We also hosted our rehearsal dinner at the venue, which was wonderfully convenient and perfectly managed. We especially loved having both a bridal suite and a groom suite to get ready in. Each space—the grand hall, garden, cocktail area, and surrounding photo spots—was perfectly suited for the ceremony and reception, and the beautifully maintained landscapes provided an ideal backdrop for our wedding photos.

Beyond the breathtaking venue, the staff and coordinators were outstanding from the start. Tawnya, our venue coordinator, explained every detail and option thoroughly and was incredibly flexible and accommodating with any changes we wanted to make throughout the planning process. She also offered numerous options for reaching out to her for clarifications or changes. Aside from email, making appointments in person or via Zoom was easy through her online portal. The Rec 18 team, including the talented cooking staff, bartenders, and efficient service crew, ensured our day was seamless and enjoyable.

We cannot thank Tawnya and the entire Rec 18 team enough for making our wedding day so special!

The course is in great shape. And I have to admit that at the beginning of the morning at hole one, there was a gentleman by the name of Dave. He he was such a great help and assisted us with getting started with our golf day.. AMAZING!!. Now by hple 9 we encountered a golf ranger by the name of John who ketp hounding us and following our every shot. John kept reiterating that we needed to hurry up. The crazy thing was that no one was really behind us, and we only stopped at the club house to go to the restroom and get a beverage. It took a while as no one was attentively at the bar to take our orders. By the time we got out of the club house, it took roughly 15 to 20 minutes. On the back nine, this is where John came, who was the ranger keeped hounding us to hurry up to golf faster. Now, in an industry where you provide a service, there are better ways to approach and speak to people. John did not do that as he again hounded us and hovered us, making our experiences at the golf course uncomfortable and affected our game. As soon as John came over for the unteeth time, I finally brought up that he was hounding us to go to the restriom and get a beverag. At that point, he was nonexistent. When we finally finished our golfing and made our way back to thw clubhouse. We asked to speak to a manager, which was nonexistent. We were told that there won't be a manager until the next business day, and we asked to get their card. This is just my opinion that a manager not available to handle a customer service issue right away is a big problem as far as running a business. Hopefully, they can retrain their employees and make the golfing experience at that location more appealing. John (ranger) needs retraining!! Horrinble member service!!!

Big Rec is a really nice course. The fairways are huge and very forgiving. The greens are very fast, but they are all in great condition. The tee boxes can be better, but they're not horrible. The course overall is in great condition and very fun to play. The driving range is small, as in not enough spaces/mats, and is always packed. The range itself is good and it has easily seen distance signs. All the employees I had contact with were excellent.
