Nestled on the Southside of the city, adjacent to the lively chatter of the zoo, lies a tennis aficionado's paradise: the City Park Tennis Complex. This gem is more than just a series of courts; it's an oasis for tennis lovers, maintained with a passion that's as evident as the lines on its well-kept surfaces.

The moment you step into the complex, you're greeted by the pristine condition of the courts. The nets are taut and perfectly aligned, as if waiting eagerly for the next serve. The courts are a vibrant green, a stark contrast to the urban sprawl, and so well-maintained that it feels like stepping onto the stage of a Grand Slam.

One of the most charming aspects of this complex is its location. Positioned near the zoo, players are often treated to a curious soundtrack of distant animal calls, adding an exotic twist to their games. It's not unusual to hear the distant chatter of monkeys, which, surprisingly, adds to the concentration rather than detracting from it.

The facilities are top-notch. Clean, well-organized, and equipped with everything you need for a day of play. When staffed for events they are not just employees; they are enthusiasts who share your love for the game, always ready with a tip or two to improve your backhand.

Another delightful feature is the surrounding greenery. The courts are framed by lush trees and water features, providing a serene backdrop and a much-needed shade on sunny days. The air is fresh, a welcome respite from the city's hustle and bustle.

What sets this complex apart is the sense of community. Regulars and newcomers alike are welcomed with open arms. Whether you're a seasoned player or someone who's just picked up a racket, there's a sense of belonging here.

The City Park Tennis Complex is a haven for tennis lovers. Its proximity to the zoo, combined with the excellent maintenance and friendly atmosphere, makes it a unique and delightful spot for anyone looking to enjoy a good game of tennis. It's not just a place to play; it's a place where the sport is celebrated in every serve and volley.

Pueblo City Park is an incredibly beautiful park in the middle of Pueblo. It has all you could want for recreation. There is a golf coarse, zoo, children’s amusement park with kiddie rides and a miniature train, a lake so much shaded manicured lawns, 17 tennis courts, a skate park…for a city the size of Pueblo to have a park like this is astonishing.

Had a great time this morning playing with my wife and son. Very clean and well maintained. In addition, there's a park nearby for kids, bike lane and bike paths, disc golf. Adjacent to the tennis court is Elmwood Golf Course off of Thatcher Avenue.

Best outdoor courts around. Outstanding complex that will make for a great day of tennis! Nighttime tennis in the summer is very fun with all the other stuff going on around you in the park. Nothing like hearing that train ride horn as it goes by!

Y'all need to be here if you want to do something different. Only took a year but now I can play at 3.5 level, nothing special but fast improvement since I started. You can learn to play if you put the time in. Who is down let me know.

I really love how they have the zoo, kiddies rides, fishing, skate park, dog park, ball parks and everything else all in one location. It's a beautiful sight. BUT, a lot of the old buildings are falling into disrepair which is a shame, our history should be preserved as best as possible and some things (like the bridge) would be gorgeous to see in a pristine state. My only irk is when my husband and I went to play badminton at the tennis courts we were turned away because we weren't playing tennis? We were wearing tennis shoes and I don't think a badminton birdie could damage ANYTHING on the courts, so I really didn't understand this at all. (If somebody could explain please do!) So despite some sort of racket sports hierarchy, it's a really wonderful place.

The picnic areas near the tennis courts are available for private parties, good place to have fun. Loved the park as a kid, a parent, a grandparent, and as a great grandparent.
