As the parent of a new player wanting to learn, it’s our experience that this soccer club really cares nothing about new player development. Every weekend was a disheartening experience for a team of kids, who have not played together before, against teams of kids who have stated they have been playing together for years. So, should you sign up for this league and get the email that your team has no coach, get your money back and take your chances elsewhere.

My son wanted to get back into soccer at the age of 12 so we signed up for a recreation team. I agreed to coach when I was notified that they would not be able to create a team if someone did not coach. The leadership was eager to support me and provided pennies, cones and even a slightly used pair of goalie gloves.
However, we were absolutely crushed by our opponents who seemed to have been playing with each other for years. Our team was brand new and clearly not in the right division.
I asked multiple times for a re-alignment so that our team could compete with someone are own skill level. However, no change was made. We lost ever single game by a LARGE margin that season and everyone (coaches, parents and especially the kids) were frustrated, confused and absolutely defeated. My son and many others on the team refuse to play soccer now because of that terrible experience.

Our daughter has come through the developmental program and moved on to the competitive program. We like the staff and philosophy, which focuses on the player development.

Huge soccer tournament. Parking is a bit of a nightmare. The refs are decent. Fields are ok. A little dry.

I would not recommend PV Soccer Club if you or your child are more serious about the sport. If you are new to soccer and just want to have fun and try it out then this league is okay. Otherwise, (from my experience), they practice twice per week BUT not with their team or coach. They practice with a VERY large group of kids all in their age group with a different coach. Therefore, your child does not get any practice playing with his team mates or with his coach that they play games with on Saturdays. That's insane to me - this does VERY LITTLE to prepare them for Saturday games. On Saturdays, they are supposed to show up 30 minutes before the game to prepare and warm up with their team, however, no one (including the coach) arrives early. My child's coach was just a parent volunteer (which I appreciate him taking the time to do) but he didn't know how to coach and he was often frustrated by the team's poor performance (I wonder why!) and would yell instructions in with an agitated tone. We didn't hear from him until 2 days before the first game and he never communicated to us during the season. There were some teams we played against that were much better prepared and played so much better -- I guess they had better coaches that the better players requested and/or they held their own practice outside of the two the league put on. So maybe be cautious of the coach's team that your child gets assigned to. Try to find out who are the better coaches and try to get on their team. Or better yet, find a different league. This was my very disappointing experience.

We got our start at PVSC almost 6 years ago when moving from up north. We were very pleased with the exceptional coaching, service and met some amazing parents along the way!! Wish STORM still had competitive teams as we’d go back in a heart beat. ⚽️ ❤️

We have been involved in the program for 15 years! My son went through the recreational program and now has moved to the competitive program. The small town feel of the program makes each family feel like a part of the “team”.

My daughter got her start playing soccer with the PVSC when she was 3. Because of this club she was taught to love the game and at 13 now plays competitively. We still live an admire e surging the PVSC does for the kids in our community.
