We stayed at the cabin and it was so cute! The porch overlooks Hole 1 tee box. It is in excellent condition and very clean. The beds are upstairs. The seating in the living room area could be changed to be more comfortable. It might be helpful to have a sofa bed as seating in this area. The campground was full and a whole new section is under construction. Lovely staff who are super friendly and professional. We did not get to play golf but will next time! There is a swimming pool, tennis court, and large dog park. It is within about 5 miles to I75 so it is very convenient. I cannot say enough good things. We look forward to returning!!

Going through the small town at night to get to the RV park was a little sketchy. Thankfully, we didn’t turn around to find a different rv park because Wanee Lake RV Resort was a breath of fresh air! It was well maintained, clean, quiet, safe and with nice gravel sites. Plenty of space between sites. We did not have any issues with parking or with the water pressure. We were only there for one night, but it was perfect. We will definitely be staying there again. The only thing we can recommend, is to arrive before dark. Great stay with an affordable price!

We have been going to Florida in the winter for years. In the past, we have stayed at various KOA‘s. Most of them seemed a little sketchy. This year we decided to try Lake Wanee. We were very surprised and impressed. The campsites are beside a golf course. Everything is very neat and clean. It’s about 5 miles off the interstate, which is very convenient and quiet. The staff at the campground are very kind and accommodating. We ended up having to make numerous changes from the time we first made our reservation to the time we got there, and they were always very responsive and courteous, even while we were being high maintenance. The price is comparable to KOA’s in the area. This will definitely be our new stop over on the way to Florida. Highly recommend!

We stayed at Wanee on our way south from our northern home, and we are so happy we did, it so happen we ended up staying longer due to hurricane Milton hitting Florida, the staff was very accommodating, especially the GM Lee who due to the hurricane was inundated with calls from people wanting to stay at the resort to get away from the storm. She managed to accommodate as many as she could. Even having people dry camping so they could stay safe. The resort itself is very nice, the golf course was being worked on but still playable, the resort at this time was adding additional campsites which should be ready in November. We will definitely be coming back when we are going north.

We had a fantastic stay at Wanee Lake Golf and RV Park! The park is well-maintained, and we could see that they’re putting a lot of work into the new sites, which look like they’ll be amazing once complete. We’re not golfers ourselves, but it was nice to see folks out enjoying the course, and the atmosphere was welcoming. Leigh and the office staff were super helpful and made our stay smooth and enjoyable. We look forward to coming back and seeing the finished improvements!

Our GPS accurately brought us in from Montgomery, AL, to Wanee. This was our third time here, but the first time since the campground (CG) was bought by Outdoor Adventure Retreats. We had reserved a site in the new area that used to be the diving range. Check in was quick and we received a nice information package. We were then escorted to back-in site 41 with FHUs. As the new section had only been open for a month. We were told we’re probably the first to stay in this site. We did get some brown water when we first connected, but that cleared after running the water for a few minutes. The cement pad was plenty long enough for our 40’ 5th wheel, and there was plenty of gravel to park our F450. The utilities are centered on the pad, which was nice to be able to reach both sewer dumps. The water pressure was okay at about 40 psi. We got two bars on Verizon and a clear shot for Starlink. The CG has really good WiFi with a download speed of 52.2. We were here for a week to play golf, but due to cold weather we only got out a couple of times. Their golf packages with a cart are for a monthly stay, but the golf prices are still good and they offer a 10% military discount. Without golf, you can rent a golf cart for $20 per day. They have a bath house with laundry ($2 to wash and $2 to dry) with plans to expand. The old section still has the majority of the full-timers and transients. There’s a new fenced dog area. Not huge, but a decent size. Site 41 doesn’t have any close neighbors and is probably one of the best sites in the CG. You are near the first tee, and we enjoyed watching golfers tee off. There should be enough trees to stop a sliced ball from hitting your rig. We noticed that the old area’s permanent or transient residents’ sites were neat and orderly. The last two times we stayed here, that was not the case. Hopefully, this is new management’s doing, and they keep that practice going.

Highly recommend Wanee Lake if you’re an RV traveler looking for a friendly, laid-back spot with great golf right on-site. It’s exciting to see the expansion they’re working on, adding even more options for RVers. The course seemed to be a big hit with the golfers we met, and the whole place had a warm, welcoming vibe. Leigh and her team in the office went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Definitely worth a visit, and we’re looking forward to seeing the upgrades on our next trip!

Wonderful clean campground and 9 hole golf course. Good hookups. The management was
wonderful. Only negative thing was only one sizable town nearby if you need anything.
