I went to the PAFB site to complete the security application to be able to play golf at Manatee Cove golf course. As instructed I completed the form & mailed it in. I was told to wait a week & call to set an appointment for a photo ID to be able to get into the base & play golf at Manatee Cove. The military guard at the A1A gate gave me time & date for 3 weeks later to get my ID pass. I arrived at the security gate & entered the building. The person immediately told me that he could not issue me a pass with a Florida ID and would not give me any explanation or tell me anything else. He blew me off completely… I contacted the golf course & was told that it was a separate entity. So how do you remedy this?

Friendly & honest staff. Picturest views. Great food. In order to get on base you need a military i.d. I went with my father in law. Great times

Loved the course, played 6 rounds and the course played different each time. Alot of water hazards, that made it challenging, plus the wind.. Great greens, fairways and tee boxes, well manicured. The club house workers were very nice and helpful.

I’d give this place a zero stars if I could. Not only is the course in rough shape with all sand tee boxes. With little patches of grass all in it. The customer service is the worst thing I’ve ever experienced. I never write reviews but this one is muchhhhh needed. First off we called to ask questions about the course and the girl on the phone was straight out rude and ignorant to me. Then we get to the course after we paid for 2 carts and a two some and I had a ride along with me. We take the two carts we PAID for and the cart marshal came up to us on the first tee box and was talking about a “spectator fee”. Which is 25 bucks. Then to play 18 is 29. Idk where they get the prices for that. But that’s not a big deal. It’s the way he acted when I asked him why I have to pay a spectator fee when I bought an extra cart just for a ride along. He was mumbling under his breath and had an AWFUL attitude and after I came out from the pro shop after paying the spectator fee and I showed him my receipt to get the cart and he completely ignored me and was super unprofessional. Definitely not coming back here. And I would not recommend anyone to come here if you have people who are just riding along with you. 25 for a spectator fee is ridiculous. And customer service was next to none

The greens are in great shape after summer sanding, still a little slow. The green fees are reasonable. Fairways and rough are spotty. You might find yourself in a mud patch on the middle of the fairway. Our league allows a move it in the fairway policy. Others allow improved lies throughout the green as the conditions can be unfairly terrible after good shots. Course in good shape now (Feb. 22) and greens are excellent. Fairways a little rough in spots but played today and all shots had decent lies

Update August 13, 2023. Course is in beautiful shape. Greens and fairways are as good as I've ever seen them. Just a few rough spots here and there.
