I didn't stay at the hotel, just played golf. The course was in very good shape. Tees, fairways, and greens are all green and lush. I'm visiting from Texas and really enjoy the lush conditions and undulating fast greens. My daughter says we should spend our summers with her in Denver so I can play golf on the beautiful Denver courses with mild weather I stead of the hot Texas summer heat. I'm considering it.

Played for the first time, very challenging fast greens, very hilly, great condition. There needs to be a Golf Marshall out there kicking people off or yelling at them to move faster. 5 hours and some change for 18 holes. Never should be that long. Then it started getting dark and people were playing like it was for the game of their life and not keeping pace. Great staff. Easy location. More I play golf the more I see why rich snobs tried to keep it private.

Other places in the Denver area to play for the price, ($100) on my day. Here was my experience. Met in the parking lot by a nice gentleman who picked me up and brought me and my clubs to the clubhouse. The clubhouse staff were pleasant, and accommodating. We played as a twosome, and we’re playing well, and flying, with an open golf course in front of us. We didn’t hit traffic until hole 8 and completed the front in under 1.5 hours. Then at 10 ground to a halt!!! We didn’t realize until a par five later on, what the hold up was. There were a group of walkers, that literally on a par five were on the green with another foursome, about 100 out and a third foursome 230 out and the twosome in front of us,on the tee box, with us sitting in the street waiting to hit, and the group behind us already pulled up to the hole as well. We finished the round in 4.5 hours which meant the back was 3 hours! I totally understand that as a twosome you’re going to have to wait sometimes behind foursomes and that’s absolutely acceptable but when you’re waiting 10 min to hit your next shot over and over it definetly makes for an unpleasant experience. I feel that once you reach the $100 point for a round of golf, maybe the golf course could/should have a marshal or two out there managing things. They say slow play is the biggest beef with golfers and hurts the game. I have to agree, for the same price, I think I would go play Fossil Trace up in Golden after this experience.

Awful service at the restaurant. We sat down for dinner on the patio and were not waited on for 30 minutes before we decided to leave. My husband had asked for menus after the first 15 minutes and they said they would come take our order, and never did. When we complained before leaving, all that the woman said to us was “I’m sorry that happened.” It’s a bummer, because we are home owners in the neighborhood and the golf course is beautiful. We will not be returning.

$22 for a cart. Insane. They are always short on carts too so they make you ride with randoms. Typically I don’t care but at $22 for a damn cart I don’t want to risk sitting next to someone who might annoy me for 4.5 hrs.
