The YMCA at Lakewood Ranch is a fantastic facility for families and individuals alike. Their basketball gym is top-notch, offering plenty of space for pickup games and practices. The outdoor pool is well-maintained, and the classes are diverse, catering to all skill levels. The daycare center is one of the best features-family-oriented and highly dependable. Yoga studio, a dance studio, a senior citizen area, a kids zone, all are super nice and very well maintained as you can see in the pictures. Additionally, the front desk staff, especially Taylor, deserves special recognition for her dedication. She's always punctual, welcoming members first thing in the morning with a smile. It's a great community hub!

This is the best gym around if you need childcare during your workouts. I've been to several gyms in the area, and the childcare here is matched by none. I feel comfortable taking my infant here, and it's the only place I can say that about. There are always 3 people in the childcare, and they supervise the kids well. My daughter reaches for them whenever I drop her off, and she is always having a good time when I pick her up.
The actual gym here isn't the greatest. It's small, and it's missing equipment that I like. However, it's always clean, everything works, and the staff is present and friendly.
I highly recommend this gym based on the excellent childcare they offer!

Trunk or Treat was so great. The parking was easy, the event was straight forward and flowed so well. The haunted house was a nice touch. Everyone was so kind and happy to help with any questions or guidance. Most importantly, our children loved it. This is what a community looks like, right on. Thanks Lakewood Ranch YMCA.

I wanted to compliment the Director and counselors (and childcare staff) at the Lakewood Ranch Brand YMCA. Having been both a camp counselor and camp director myself, I am extremely impressed with the way that the camps are run.
I have a 13-year-old daughter who has an attended the half day basketball and volleyball camp. She is going to attend the soccer camp next week. Her basketball Camp began when all the other camps started as well. Despite multiple types of camps and many children, campers were quickly grouped and joined with their counselors and locations.
I have been inside the center while camp is in session, and I am extremely impressed by the way communication works between staff members. Walkie talkies are constantly being used, and students are being counted and accounted for. I appreciate that the pool is used exclusively for campers during the day, to maintain camper safety. All counselors seem genuinely happy to be with their campers, and everything is extremely orderly. Counselors are bright and energetic in the morning at check in.
My daughter’s counselor Austin comes to check her out in the afternoon and always had a positive attitude and great things to say about her. He is personable and we have seen him outside of camp hours and he maintains the same composure and energy. I feel extremely safe allowing my children to attend camps and activities here.
We are also extremely impressed with the childcare center. I have a 2 yr old that has been attending the Y for around 6 months. I drop her off with confidence to three knowledgeable, caring and friendly staff members. She is always happy at pick up and excited to attend.
Prior to finding the Y, we were at LA Fitness, where we were extremely unhappy. On one occasion, the childcare supervisor allowed her to play for an unknown length of time in the bathroom. We picked her up soaking wet, with no explanation as to what happened. We still don’t know if she was playing in the toilet or the sink. Needless to say, we canceled our LA Fitness membership that evening.
We are so thrilled to have found the YMCA and are proud to be a part of it.

Terrific instructors who tell you how to do the exercise so you don't get injured. Wide variety of classes, including the pool, at convenient times. Facility is clean. The staff is helpful and friendly. Great senior activities too. I love the informative Tuesday lunch & learns.

My husband and I joined the Y at LWR almost two years ago. We appreciate the wide variety of classes that are appropriate for participants of varying physical and experience levels. Our trainers have also been excellent. It’s a positive, clean and modern facility.

The Lakewood Ranch YMCA it self is great. This is about the people that go there. I have been going to the Lakewood Ranch YMCA for about 6 years now. This year alone my car has been hit 3 times. The dent and dings are not small. My prior car was hit at least 3 times before I traded it in. The YMCA doesn't want to do anything about it. They don't want to post signs or a notice on their bulletin board to please show respect for other people's property.
