I'd heard a lot about this course from people at work and online over the years. I figured with the fall weather it would be a great time to try it out. The drive up was nice and colorful. But the course and staff were a bit of a let down.

I noticed on the first hole that none of the bunkers were raked, and some didn't even have rakes. This was the case for every hole. Whoever places the tee markers doesn't seem like they play golf. Heavy sanded tee boxes on the par 3's made is seem like you were hitting out of the bunker. Divots are not repaired on the greens either. But that's on the golfers as much as the course. The greens were also very sandy as well.

No cart person driving around on a Saturday during peak fall season. Made the turn at noon. As I'm waiting to get change since they didn't have any at the register.....they finally brought out hot dogs. This really puzzled me because most courses try and have lunch ready around 11am for people making the turn. I also ordered a bourbon on the rocks. Had to ask for more because all the ice that was in the cup soaked it all up. No one really seemed to really care that pace of play was being affected by all this.

Overall I'm not sure I would come back here. While the scenery is nice, I feel the overall experience didn't live up to the hype.

It would be nice if they kept the areas cut down over the winter cleaned up over the summer to open up the course. Would allow more difficult shots to be had but at least you'd have a shot.

Decent layout, scenic views and friendly staff. Tee boxes were beat up, greens were a little bumpy with bare spots. Bunkers weren't raked, most courses back home service the bunkers daily. Price was great.

Highly recommended, and a “must” play!!! Extremely good golf course, especially for the price. Definitely not your typical public course. The fairways are very tight and challenging, and each hole requires a measure of strategic thinking to score well. The greens are very well designed and offer multiple tiers and pin placements. Bring your “A” game and get ready for one of the most challenging courses north of Atlanta.

Beautiful and cool scenaries provided fantastic joyful feelings to me. For passing the gate, you have to have official ID for verification. You can get a pass after you show your ID at the gate. Practice ball price was vary such as 4$ 8$ 10$ depends on it size. Toilet was located more than half course so check and adjust your beer bucket size.

Superb Thanksgiving Buffet. Excellent work by Chef John. Traditional and Exotic Dishes Abound ! Fried Collosal Gulf Shrimp Were Delicious and my personal Favorite!!! Now it is on every future Thanksgiving menu, or wait....I'll just go ahead and make a reservation for Next Year. Caroline always makes sure you enjoy Great Service and a Fun experience. Spencer, Master Carver, assured everybody got the perfect select cut of Prime Rib. Thanks to the Entire Staff for providing us an effortless Thanksgiving Feast !

Overall, I came to this golf course to see what all the hype was about. After playing 18 holes, I saw the following things: the sand traps are horrendous, greens are either undergoing some rework or inconsistent, there is standing water where runoff should be occurring, the water drains are at least 90% overgrown, and majority of the tee boxes were unlevel and inconsistent all the way around for the whites. I don't plan to come back to pay $60 bucks to ensure a course that's not maintained and inconsistent. There's so much potential for this course, just the wrong head grounds keeper.

The positives are that cart girl makes rounds barely quick to get back to you, the pro shop staff is knowledgeable with really good prices, and it's always nice seeing deer while you play to admire being away from the city!

Maybe when things drastically change, I'll be back, but until then, it was nice seeing for my eyes to take a hot minute and not come back for some time!
