My son had confidence issues and experienced bullying at school. The karate school has helped him tremendously with his confidence. The black belt attitude taught at the karate school has helped him be better prepared to deal with bullying. Also, he has made new friends.

Our family has been part of the Karate America Monarch Lakes family since 2020. My daughter did an online seminar with Mr Rey at the start of the pandemic and we were very impressed with his positivity and his approach to teaching self defense as well as life lessons. Our children have not only gained physical strength but also emotional growth in terms of gaining belief in themselves towards building a successful future self. The instructors place emphasis on setting goals and working hard towards earning them. Nothing is given, you have to work hard to earn what you want!

Summary: This is a franchise called Karate America, they have multiple locations, the classes were motivational and they are great, but they work with a business model where they charge for everything and are not 100% transparent about it.

Details: we took the "offer" $600 for 2 clases per week for 3 months, but to achieve the Black Belt it is mandatory you need to purchase another package, also, you can only use the equipments they sell and every month the kids get a "promotion" that you will need to pay $75 (unless you get another package). When they do their presentation they use the "Seller" method, where they offer crazy prices and then start showing more affordable options to make you feel that is the deal that you wanted (they do this with everybody, same method), that is part of a seller strategy, also, they do the presentation if both parent are present (that is also their strategy to have more chances to close the deal), trying to commit you for the next YEARS with them. My personal experience was after 3 month I didn't know how much it was going to cost to continue the program. All the bad reviews about this company are similar to this one, you can check some others locations.

Great staff, very patient with the kids. Coach teaches them the skills and also they have fun with the kids. Every class they motivate the kids to do better . They have a lot of activities for the family .Great communication, clean facilities, family atmosphere, the best coaches. Highly recommend this school for the whole family 😍

Karate America Miramar is just awesome. My 7 year-old keeps improving with every class he attends. Master Ray and his team of instructors are amazing. I am very impressed on how inclusive and supportive they are with all students. In my short 3 months of being part of the Karate America Miramar parent team, I have witnessed my child gain more confidence and focus not only in Karate class, but also in school and home. The lessons my kid learns from Master Ray and his team of instructors are clearly geared towards life in general to improve as an overall human being. Other kids have consistently gained more focus in class as well since we’ve been part of this journey. I’m looking forward towards the day my kid becomes a black belt in class and in life to come.

My kids has been attending Karate America for about a year & a half now and they have both improved physically, mentally & spiritually. They are more disciplined, confident & stronger. They treat everyone as a family & they know each and every students skills & personality.
