Update: I came and dined with a large party on the patio. The food was mostly good and the atmosphere was pleasant. Nachos were lackluster. There was live music. However, our server was horrendous, was not attentive at all. He pushed our party into splitting the bill evenly which is unfair since we were the couple that did not have any alcoholic drinks. Nor did we order another entree to bring home. $90 for nachos and 2 sandwich entrees is really outrageous. If you come with a large party be sure to be clear about wanting split checks.
Has a dog friendly patio and a dog menu. Staff were all friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend the crispy cauliflower with Thai chili sauce and Nashville chicken burger. Wings were also very good. I liked that the table gets a carafe of water. Reserving a table through the website was simple. Plenty of parking.

Simply wow place. We wanted eat around UConn and found this gem. Food, service, atmosphere all are amazing! Looking to sit outside in summer. We ordered potato soup, caprese flatbread, Nashville chicken sandwiches fried and grilled both were awesome! We also had fried cauliflower bites, they were good too. I loved all the homemade sauces like hot and sweet came with cauliflower bites. Spicy sauce in chicken sandwiches was just wow! We also had beer and it was great! This is must visit place! I will go again to try more food!!kids ordered warm cookie with ice cream and it was delicious!

Update: 9/21-Berry pudding was awesome too. Chicken wrap was good. Arugula salad was missing something.

After several tries (please note the business hours) we finally made it to Hops 44, and I was glad we did. The UConn students had dispersed for the summer and service was excellent. I can only imagine the sound level... They had a large collection of games by the door to keep you amused while consuming liquid and other refreshments.
The beer selection was large and quite varied, and the barbecue selections most tempting. I got the three taco barbecue assortment (each one tastier than the last), son swiftly enveloped his cheeseburger and fries, and my wife enjoyed a pulled pork sandwich. It was the sort of meal you would have savoured again if you weren't so delightfully full. We SHALL return!

I tried their award winning wings - fabulous! Apple Walnut salad was delicious. The service was tremendous- very attentive and friendly. Also able to accommodate my Vegan friends who loved their veggie burger. Great atmosphere! Highly recommend! ?

Hops was the perfect place to host our belated wedding celebration! We had about 70 guests and the private room had a great set up and plenty of space for everyone.

Nancy was so helpful in coordinating our event. The staff provided excellent service - they managed all of our guest's drink orders and tabs and helped us pass out glasses of champagne for a toast and slices of cake.

The food was incredible! We ordered off the catering/ event menu, buffet style. There was a variety of options and everything was delicious. The boneless garlic parmesan wings were the crowd favorite!

We highly recommend anyone looking for an event space to consider Hops 44! Thanks for an incredible celebration!

This place is absolutely wonderful and the food is amazing. Run, don't walk, to get your hands on their Gobbler sandwich and buffalo wings. Super nice staff and owner. I have been there twice in the last two weeks (coming from Boston) and both times they were kind enough to seat/feed us before they were officially open. A true gem of a place!

I hosted my pre wedding rehearsal here and it was amazing!!! I wanted to do something that I could include all wedding guest that had travel to the area. They have a separate room you can use. They see up a buffet with all different kinds of delicious food. The drinks were great and the best was the staff and hospitality. Nancy the manager and their staff were amazing. I would 1 billion percent recommend this restaurant not just for dinner but specifically for any event!!!

We couldn’t have asked for a better evening!!
We made a reservation for a party of ten and many were delayed due to traffic. The staff couldn’t be more understanding with our delays. They seated us in the front room where an acoustic duo was doing an amazing job but we were having a difficult time talking with our large group. When we asked to be moved, our waitress couldn't be more accommodating.
The food was delicious and came out in a timely manner, exactly as ordered!! The staff couldn’t be more agreeable and attentive…we thoroughly enjoyed our 2.5 hours dining experience!!
