Great spot to take out when kayaking the Santa Fe River. We usually put in at the 27 bridge just before High Springs and takeout at this boat ramp. The current does get a little strong just as you get to the boat ramp. This park has lots of parking and now offers Kayak rentals and other misc items. There is a charge of $5 to use the park on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and, of course, busy holidays. There is a pay machine at the entrance, and it takes credit cards, which is a bonus. Wish they had this at all the parks. As I rarely carry cash. There are also some nice clean restrooms here.

I've been coming here since I was a small child they've really upgraded it quite a bit although I would like if they put in some grills most people don't even realize there's about a 3 or 400 acre Park attached with an Indian trail that goes right down the side of the river you can hike fish or just sit there and daydream the water is clear and ice cold it's a well kept little secret. It's a boat ramp mainly with a couple of large pavilions in a brand new bathroom mostly people just go there to fish off the floating dock or to launch their kayaks but like I said there's a huge park there to walk I've never seen another human being out there when I hike it I probably shouldn't be telling you LOL they do have the two shoes pavilions and zero barbecues so you'd have to bring your own grill.

This place is very peaceful and quite. It is a great way to see nature. The staff at the nature building are very informative. If you want to see the Santa Fe Sink do not cross the bridge. Stay on the side of the river and hike to it it is a much better view. If you want to see the rise but do not want to hike the six miles tell the ranger that you have trouble walking and they will give you the combination to the lock so that you can drive up to it.

If you want an easy paddle with beautiful scenery, the Santa Fe is the place! We used Anderson Outdoor Adventures to take us up river. We paddled about 4 hrs through the river and various springs to our disembark location.

The folks at Anderson Adventures and Santa Fe park make it easy. I love going down the Santa Fe to relax and I'm so thankful to have the outfitters at the park there to help. The price is very reasonable! Enjoy 🙂

Kayaked there from Poe Spring. Didn't swim at Blue Spring although plenty were enjoying being in the clear spring water. Nearby Mermaid Spring was very nice. Saw about 8 springs on the easy 7+ mile downstream trip.
