I really love these old school courses. This Donald Ross gem is still a treasure. The course was very fair; demanding around the elevated greens, but open enough in most spots to get a shot at the green. Very pleased!!! Will play again.

Just played “the fort” as a single and hooked up with 3 other singles (mark, bill,and Ken) . The starter got us on super quick and the pace of play was quick . 4 hours . Ken said that the Marshall would tell you to get moving if you played slow . Played the senior tees and that really shortened the course and took some of the hazards out of play . The course is pretty easy to follow and some elevated greens . The greens were in very good condition. Quick pace of play with some marshy places but I’ve never played there and didn’t lose a ball . Definitely a fun day and fairly easy course.

The course is excellent, offering a challenging experience with elevated greens that demand precise shots—no bump and run tactics will work here. Despite its age, the course is in decent condition. There's a compact, self-service driving range suitable for iron shots only and modest-sized practice greens. The green and cart fees total $90 during the peak season, but you can find some great deals in the summer.

A small bar with great service and space for a live band. The band we saw was amazing and they're there every Friday, except the first Friday of the month. Or is it Saturday? 🤔 There's no room to dance and the space is tight by the bar. But we still danced. LOL We had a few beers and cocktails as we enjoyed our time there.

This place sucks
Website that is impossible to book a tee time before noon, a week in advance.
Website says $85, you get there, you have to pay $70++++a $30 cart fee
Couse is in shitty condition, for $100
Never again
Also don't bother with other Lee County course, Eastwood, it sucks almost as bad , if not worse than this place that I incredibly overpaid for $100
Also they let walkers at any time of the day
Plan on spending 5+ hours dealing with cheap tourists
Go back to Minnesota and Canada
