I’ve been working with trainer Charles Lomanto and in a short time have made progress towards my goals. He is professional, knows what he is doing, and has thoughtfully and consistently challenged me beyond expectation. The staff are welcoming. The steam and locker room are great. The space can feel tight to navigate at times but the equipment and overall vibe make up for it. I highly recommend personal training with Charles and Equinox in Darien.

I was a member here for a year and I loved the facility, the staff and the trainers. I was never warned when I signed up that biological men would be allowed in the women’s locker rooms. Sharing a locker room with a biological male who is allowed to sit on his phone for the entire duration it takes me to undress, shower, blow dry my hair and leave for work was sickening. For three weeks I watched this person with phone in hand and eyes on women in the locker room. I have never felt so uncomfortable or violated in my life. Really hope that person wasn’t taking photos when they saw me undressing the last three weeks. If you’re a female and you’re okay with sharing locker rooms with biological men then you won’t have any issues here. Everyone is awesome and the facility is amazing!

If you’re a female stay very far away from this place!! They allow men into the women’s locker room to do as they please, to watch women change and shower. Management won’t do a single thing about these disgusting occurrences. Give up your memberships if you have one here and find a gym that respects the safety of women.

In 25 years of training in all types of gyms, I've never been as insulted by the staff as I was today by Marcus (trainer). While I was in a deep stretch, he pushed past me to put away his client's mats and bumped into me, causing me to strain my upper left calf muscle. When I popped up and uttered "are you kidding me?", Marcus DOUBLED DOWN and said sternly: "YOU'RE BLOCKING THE EQUIPMENT, BRO". When I then asked for his name, he turned his back and muttered something about his name tag.
I don't know how long Marcus has been working at the Darien Equinox or how solid/secure his client roster is, but he is WAY too comfortable out on the floor to the point that he's walking around bumping into patrons while they're stretching and mouthing off to them when he's confronted. Entirely unprofessional and borderline criminal behavior. If you're a client of his, I sincerely suggest you stop paying him to remind you to breathe while he watches you lift.

I have been a member at plenty of gyms and this is by far the best one. I love the steam room, showers, locker room and everything that comes with the gym. My favorite part (although there are many) are the eucalyptus towels ?. Everyone that belongs here the members and the staff are incredibly nice and everyone is super respectful of each other and sharing machines. I’ve never been more motivated in my whole life to go to the gym other then Equinox!

I took a tour of the gym with Steven and he was very helpful and nice. He answered all of my questions in detail as well as many follow up questions over text. Above & beyond customer service! I’m excited to use my membership

Decent, clean gym, I like the available towels and that it doesn’t seem to get too busy. Locker rooms, steam room and showers are top-notch. Mid-size space, tall ceiling on top floor, but not so much on the lower floor. There’s not a lot of workout equipment in comparison to much more affordable gyms in the area. Seems to have a ton of class offerings though. The membership is pricey, so to each its own. The biggest downside for me are the working hours, which are absolute worst than any gym in Connecticut currently. (Closes at 8pm Mon-Thurs, 7pm on Fri.) I hope they change this soon, or I may look elsewhere because of these bad hours.
