DeKalb Memorial Disc Golf Course (DKM) - Atlanta, Georgia

This course was built around the general park area where others walk and is along side the play ground for one of the holes. You have to watch out for people and other discs. Several of the holes is parallel to the road so you'll hear cars flying by and there is trash along the fencing, which appeared incomplete. The grass was cut, the baskets were new, and the tee pads were all cement which was nice. The signs for each hole are new and in tact but that course is pretty crammed and being a long the fence for many was a little scary since if you lose your disc, that's it. There are steep streams as well so wear your waterproof shoes if you have any. The last few holes were my fav since they were in open fields.

Fun course but location makes it a 2 star. It's not in a nice area. Combined with holes 5, 6, 7 run along a homeless camp and I-20. So make sure your disc doesn't go left and watch out for all the dogs chained to trees. The smell was awful and I went in the cooler temps of winter/spring. There was one person hiding behind a tree just standing there watching you on course. If there were not so many people playing I would have left. The couple in front of me, bailed because they were creeped out! The only course issue is there is a sign that specifically says, "Do not walk back down hole 2 to get to the 5th tee box." But that is literally the only way to get to the 5th tee box. So that was a bit confusing. The homeless guy sitting in the middle of the field yelling at people made it a bit frantic to navigate the course. That said, clean up the park and area and I would return as its a fun course. But until then, I won't be going back.

confusing directions between starting platforms for the disc goals, but there is a map at the front. this course has 18 holes but it feels pretty cramped and would probably be better suited for a 9. there’s quite a few goals next to fences where you might have to go across the fence to get your disk or lose it, so be careful.

Awesome new course, and it’s only one of a couple intown. Great course layout, well-designed, and fun to play. Some holes are quite close to the road, but the park is small so it can be forgiven!

Will definitely be back many many times.

It's great to have a course in town. I'm not crazy about the design; it circles back on itself in a way that is sometimes annoying and there are a couple paths which are unfriendly. There are also many fenced areas around so it's easy to lose discs, particularly for novice players. So far, it's been well-maintained though.

The poison ivy is daunting and plentiful, so beware and use long pants, etc to wipe down if your discs land in it. Fun course, and hard for newcomers to the sport. The last 2 holes are open and a real blast.

Nice new 18 hole par 3 course in East Atlanta. It starts near the community garden at the end of the parking lot and ends with a wide open field shot. It is impressive that 18 ~300ft holes fit in the space. They get a bit tightly packed around 9-11 so keep an eye for flying discs. There are some fun lines and it is definitely worth a play.
