Website says there is ability to do a free trial pass but when you sign up they email and tell you it will cost you money. They should get their story straight and not lie on the website. I used to be a member of Kennedy. I just wanted to check out what has changed since, and was almost certain I'd sign up, but their shady ways and reading recent reviews made me rethink it. I'll be looking elsewhere.

There is absolutely no difference between curl up & Kennedy club fitness. The only small difference is there are new employees but none make any effort to know anyone! I'm a little confused why I'm still checking in as a Kennedy club member and my monthly payment is still by Kennedy ! I have never received an email from curl up saying anything about the gym . I still go there because it's close to my home but I still dislike the refugees fitness 19... They're just lucky their not at a carp gym anymore.

This gym was great over the last 8-9 months, but then a local gym closed and now Kennedy is flooded with the refugees.

I guess they gave them all a free month or something. Last two weeks I’ve gone, literally every single machine and weight station was occupied—every time. Used to be a great place to get a workout in previously, as it had just the right amount of activity. Didn’t have to wait or change your workout due to it being overcrowded.

Completely ridiculous now. If it doesn’t get handled, I’m cancelling my membership. I haven’t even been able to workout when I go now because of how absurdly packed it is.

This gym was laid back and exclusive until recently. New ownership and previous owners decided that it was a good idea to not let their patrons know about a takeover. The place became a circus overnight after they decided to absorb the riff-raff people from another local gym that closed. To top it off they decided to grandfather the $20 membership fees for all the former Fitness 19 people while former Kennedy was left paying $55+. Seems completely unethical and discriminatory! The people who work there are great but unfortunately bad and wrong decisions were made. Time to find another place.

Not a good number of weight lifting spots. A smith machine should not count toward your rack capacity- the two get taken over by people doing cellphone curls and patiently waiting patrons.

So many nearly new machines (because it’s obvious they don’t get used- some are just wild)- I’m mad this place took over Fitness 19. Two racks and a deadlift platform was way better than this place.

Kennedy Fitness member since 2012. Not anymore. Curl and Kennedy are two VERY different cultures. Kennedy used to be a low key place to workout. Curl brought over steroid using pismo beach pd cops who hog and try to intimidate use of the weights to the Instagram influencers filming themselves and indiscriminately you. I’ve voted with my feet. To be fair management and staff are EXTREMELY nice and pleasant.
