The manager Mike is rude as hell. Belittles you over the phone and makes it hard to change your membership you never signed up for.
I was given help signing up and was supposed to be on month to month. I was signed up for a year. Thinking I was signed up for a month to month at a gym I’m not staying at, my phone gets a message 2 months after my membership saying I owe $92.
I call and am told I have a late fee of $40 due for a late fee on the day that my membership is due. The guy basically told me if I don’t pay the night before it’s due, they will charge me a late fee on the morning it’s due. Now why would it charge me a late fee the day before it’s due and then again on the day it’s due bright and early in the morning instead of the end of the day?
I should’ve never came back to this gym.

The gym members are awesome. The equipment is great. The way the gym is managed… be prepared to have the most difficult time making any change to your account. They are hyper aggressive with pressuring you into upgrading or keeping your current membership if you try to change. I’ve been here for a year now and had no problems for the first 10 months. They told me I can only change my membership on the 23rd of the month. Today is the 24th and I was told to wait a month. They also applied late fees to my account last month and this month. From talking with some of the friends I’ve made at the gym this is not only an issue I am experiencing. I’m considering switching gyms if they give me trouble next month.

As a dedicated, long time member of catalyst fitness I hate to give a bad review but they have absolutely no spatial awareness for the amount of members they sign up, i get it, it’s a business you need to fro make money. But there are days I walk into the gym, and then around and walk right out. On top of the fact they over crowd their gyms they raised prices, so I’m paying more for a gym I go to less and less because I can accomplish more at my house than I can with the 1 available machine at catalyst, I feel like they chose quantity over quality and for that reason I give it 1 star.

Staff is lovely, the experience is lovely, no complaints been on and off going on 2 years. Elmwood location closest to the city had a brilliant remodel. I do really like how they keep the standards and quality across their sites the same.

The new renovation is amazing. Much larger, bright, everything is new, more equipment, larger stretching area. Yes, it can get busy, but that's because it's such an awesome gym. Even at busy times I've only had to wait a couple minutes for something.

My only issue is that some of the squat racks line up with the seam in the mirrors... It bugs me, but maybe that's just a me thing lol

Attention Amy of Catalyst and Catalyst gym members. The FTC has passed the Click-To Cancel-Law. The law is intended to simplify ending a gym membership. No more will you have to speak to the manager who is never there, Or get a note from your doctor, chiropractor or nurse practitioner, only to realize that ABC Financial has swindled another two months fees from your bank account. The new law should be in effect within 180 days.

Not bad for a commercial gym, def need to pay their staff better for all the work they do. ESP the training department. The turn around is sickening! There’s better staff/ pride in ownership in the local boutique gyms. Give those a shot before coming here. Fitness factory is right down the street!

Increase prices without notifying customers. Comfirmed they didn't notify me and still did nothing to correct the situation. Then, they charge you an extreme fee to downgrade the membership. Not to mention, the customer service person hung up the phone when asked to speak to a manager.
