Hole 10-15 was very different from the other holes with mountain routing elevation change. The rest of holes was much more straightforward and typical resort course. Course condition was very good.

Stayed at hotel. Course looks great. Told at concierge we could use driving range.
Showed up 8:15 and they said not until 8:45, then not until 9, then not until 9:15 and then we left without using driving range.

Friendly staff, beautiful course up on a mountainside with some really fun holes with elevation changes. Conditions are great.

I’m an avid golfer. Although I’ve never been here to golf before. I was in the area so I stopped by to get some afternoon play. I got the feeling from the pro shop attendees that they seemed beyond disinterested in anyone who wasn’t a full time member. I asked if they had a written pamphlet of their rates and they said no. With no helpful information as to where any of their rates were advertised such as giving me a link to their website or etc. I asked what was their 9 holes rate and they gave me the answer for the afternoon twilight times, and I asked them for 18 rate and they answered me, but in a way where it’s almost like “if you want to play here you should have enough money to play here without asking the rates “eh I’ll even though every other golf course is friendly and is very transparent about their rates, these guys felt standoffish in an elitist manner. I played 18 holes. And this is what I can say, first 9 parkland style , 1 interesting swamp hole, the other 8 pretty forgettable and boring. The back 9 was beautiful and in a lot of ways was worth the experience, had a lot of verticality, and scenic holes. Overall, 6.5/10 experience and I will never be back. ?

This place is nice, so nice that it made me want to get married. Why? Because my friend's wedding reception was at the Golf Club House. The place had a lot of room, plenty of tables, the food was great, and the service was really good. So why wouldn't I consider having a special occasion here? Outside of the Golf Club House, there's a great view of the hills, decent parking, plenty of grass, the lodge, houses, and there's a decent fountain. At night, there was even a fireplace to be used. My friend, his family, and everyone enjoyed their time at the Carmel Valley Golf Club House. So be my friend and invite me over for another occasion. You'll enjoy the place and I'll help finish the food that was ordered.

Started off a 5-day golf trip with Carmel Valley. This course is little quirky and touristy, but a fun way to get settled into Carmel before tackling the bigger courses. Course was in great shape. Pretty funky layout, but worth the $150 rate. Great views.

There's a pro shop and a restaurant serving standard clubhouse fare (think salads, burgers, club sandwiches). The clubhouse overlooks a nice driving range and part of the course. There are fire pits and heat lamps for outdoor seating. Very pleasant overall.

Course was in outstanding shape. Greens rolled true. There are several holes on the back 9 where you tee off from big cliffs — huge drops — which were a lot of fun to play. Fairways were a little spongy and actually gave us some trouble at times. Fun course. Front 9 goes through some houses. Back 9 was terrific.
