The courts work fine for messing around, but wouldn't be suitable for competitive play.... They're missing the center straps so the net heights are off. Just needs a little routine maintenance and then should be back up to par.

Growing up in Brooklyn from 1987 until 2009 my family always loved going down to the tennis courts! When my father was still with us he used to bring me and my sister down to play tennis and he would hit the ball around with us! We always loved that there was a trail in the back and it's been marked for a while so it makes it much easier to walk compared to the 90s when it wasn't marked! The court has seen better days at this point because the town of Brooklyn and Rec Department have not kept up with maintaining it but I am still happy they decided to leave it because there was talks of removing it once the Rec building and the garage was no longer on the property. So you just have to remember this tennis court was never made or intended for competitive play seeing that nothing is regulation size and the net is a little too high off the ground so the ball will roll under it.

Great place for those who aren't too serious about the sport. Frost heaves and big cracks in the courts make play a bit, ummm, unpredictable. Definitely overdue for a resurfacing.
On the plus side, great location, great night lighting (till 10:00PM), easy parking, newly renovated picnic area and the town has done a great job of clearing the ball eating brush away from the court outskirts.

Not bad for just hitting around, but the gates are raised at the bottom so balls roll under, and the courts aren't regulation size.

Clean, fenced in court with a marked trail through the woods.
