My favorite local course to play in Broomfield. Greens are impeccable and true. Sand is a bit rough and so is the rough. Worth the money and work every penny.

Honestly, this is a pretty solid course. It’s a lot of fun. With that being said- it’s definitely Mid-Tier at best (Indian Tree, West Woods, etc.) but they charge premium prices. For reference, Fossil Trace (right now, a Premiere course) is priced at $95 and includes range balls. I was going to book at Broadlands this weekend but as a solo w/cart and no balls it was $94. Add in a large bucket and I’m at $108. Places like the OMNI are $105- the pricing just isn’t dynamic for what you get in Winter. The range is usually pretty beat up- the Pro Shop never answers the phone (excruciatingly painful in winter conditions), and overall it’s okay. If they had better pricing for what it is $70-80 range with cart- it would definitely be 5 stars in my book.

Name change idea: instead of twilight golf, let's call it twinkle and sprinkle. There was no way to avoid massive sprinklers, including on the tee pads, popping up randomly as we were playing. They were on at 8pm well before the sun even sets! We ended up soaking and detoured the last set of sprinklers by going through a random apartment complex and basically through a front lawn. Thank goodness for Google maps! Told the golf cart return crew about how unhappy we were at having to get soaked and skip over holes to play. He said he would inform management. We asked if we could take the cart to our cars to drop off our clubs and he said sure, just go up the path and we could probably avoid the sprinklers that were spraying the cart path. I mentioned "I think I'm getting pretty efficient at dodging sprinklers with a golf cart!"?

Would have been a beautiful round of twilight golf with a gorgeous sunset, marred by reclaimed city water to the face and body along with our clubs...

Pro shop not open when stated. Range was closed. Seem to start many days on the 10th hole instead of one. Poor quality sand (if you call it that). No water on course. Mowers don’t care about golfers. Greens not rolled, very rough. Poor quality fairways. Not worth the money, better courses out there for that cost.

I golfed here probably 25 times plus this year. We had a golf outing with contractors in October. The Marshall was on our team checking in quite often. We were on pace. It was quite annoying. I never experienced that the other times golfing here. I call the pro shop quite often when in regular play bc rounds are taking over 5 hours. Even when I call we are met with no response on the phone or they send out a kid 20 years younger to who they address for concern. Again rounds take about 5 hours. We even had a very unusual cart girl too, I have never seen this one before also. And she was monitoring us pretty closely. It was quite unusual, but it is early October. Seems like a whole new or seasoned crowd. I do suggest to avoid this place after September.

Then when we get done with golfing the short hair ginger kid in the building comes up while we are doing announcements in our outing. He started threatening calling the cops on us in front of our networking event. Stating the golf cart was damaged, I had issues with tough steering but I was able to do the full 18 holes.

We watched this kid just go from 0-60 really quick on lack of communication and inexperience in communication. He called the cops.

I wasn't sticking around to see him create a shit show. This was the time to network with other companies as I own my own business. He completely ignored that fact.

The carts don't have records and there is no accountability on paper of their maintenance. Even if the cart supposedly is 2 months new, over 100 people were assigned that cart.

The pro shop managers Hunter Johnson Chris Lewis, and Jacoby Wittkop were completely unreasonable and had flagged me for play at Broadlands. This was communication via email.

Granted I'm one person of 32 reviews under a two star review. The total amount of reviews are 296. I credit the seasonal employees that service this golf course with the upmost respect. I have relationships with most of them. It mostly has to do with how they treat outings here and who they put in charge to manage outings.

I help most amateur golfers that get paired with me. I'm a military and State law enforcement veteran. I take all responsibilities for my actions. The golf cart was in poor operating condition. The course is in great condition minus the construction on the concrete paths. The golf cart was manageable throughout the round.

I believe it was due to the outing and how they treat us local golfers different when we are in outings. It was enjoyable. And we just tuned out the extra attention from management.

Besides my review I would have given this course 5 star with playing here bc it's a fantastic layout. Plenty of challenges from the very back tips. I posted my lowest scores here. I would even challenge the club pro to golf with me here. Absolutely love this course.

I have a love/hate relationship with this course. I love the punch pass, lets you get 10 rounds (used to be 12 last year) for about $50 a round, so long as you play Mon - Thur or after 1pm on Fri, Sat, Sun. If I paid more than $50 a round, I would be disappointed.

They play one of the US open qualifying tournaments here for a reason, the rough is thick, the native grass is thicker, and the green are very challenging. That being said, stop putting the darn pin on the edge of the green, this course is MAX 130 slope, (if the scorecard on the website is correct and up to date) the set up does not match that number in my opinion. This course is not has good as the club house kids make it seem when you check in. Some of the guys are chill, but there's one who takes his job way too seriously, its Broadlands, not The Broadmoor.
That being said, $14 for a large bucket is not acceptable when the practice range is as bad as it is. The grass is not level, and there is never a clean spot of grass to hit from unless you get there on the day they established a new box to hit from.

Maybe I'm not paying attention, but I've never seen a chipping practice green where range balls are just left on the green. The old guys love to do this and I have no idea why. I don't see it anywhere else. Not a big deal, but just an additional nit to add to the reasons why I wouldn't pay more than $50 a round here.

The drainage on the course is terrible. The sprinklers are on for too long at night, so you'll walk through swampy grass on every hole to get to the green if you are out before noon. Level the darn tee boxes!!! I can't find a level place for my tee shot on the majority of the holes. The greens are pock marked and bumpy, year round.

Add some darn ball cleaning stations at each hole, and a watering station or two. Or, you can add a ball and club cleaning attachment to the carts. Buying bottled water at Costco to give players at the start of your round is not cost efficient in the long run guys....

Pace of play is hit or miss, I've had a 3.5 hour round, and I have had a 5.5 hour round. On the good days, the marshalls are on top of pace, on a bad day, pack your patience.

Everything in the club house for sale is 10% to 25% over priced. It doesn't have to be that way, but I get the feeling they try and get as much as they can, where they can and it's annoying. These public golf courses make more than enough money, they don't have to gauge you on range buckets and a sleeve of balls. I get the feeling they try way too hard when it comes to dynamic pricing.

Restaurant is good. Friendly staff, and the prices are adequate. You'll see the bev cart one or two times a round at best.

Broadlands is a decent golf course. I would definitely not pay 95$ a round on a weekend though. The sand was hard pan at best, greens had multiple issues including an awful fix on an old cup cut and some weed/moss issues on a couple greens. Place of play was fine, prices for drinks were fair but I won’t be going back any time soon
