Great atmosphere. Nice open space. Food was excellent. Ribeye, and Flat Iron Steak was grilled to order. Appetizers where Chips and Queso, and Crab Spring Rolls, they were great. Little pricey, but over all the food was worth it.

We loved this place! We had a few alcoholic beverages and a delicious meal! The service was great, and the food and drinks were amazing. Give this place a try if you are in the area. Large portions and yummy options! It is located behind Harps in Southside. Follow the sign!

Went there this evening for drinks and food. Not great. This place has changed hands, management, and service staff in the past 3 months, and not for the better. Backwoods used to be our go to place for stiff drinks and great service.
We came here this evening, and no one was out front to greet us for 3 minutes. The server was nice, but not friendly. We stayed long enough to have our drinks and then decided that the restaurant wasn't as welcoming as it used to be and went somewhere else in town.
I'm not saying don't go here, but I'd wait till after 530. They don't care about you otherwise.

First time eating here. Server was great. She kept our drinks full. We waited a while for our food. Some of the food was just warm and the burger was dry. Food tasted good.

A little pricey for the amount of food but it's good food! We got the steak tips and the cilantro lime chicken with sides of baked potato, grilled asparagus, backwoods potatoes, and fried okra. I figured the asparagus would be a good portion but it was 5 tiny sprigs, the rest of the meals were decent portions. The steak tips were ordered to medium rare and they came well done. Do I think it was worth $85 for what I got? No. Will I eat there again, possibly!

First time to Backwoods. I had a ribeye and asparagus. One in the party ordered early when everyone else was just getting drinks. She was supposed to wait on everyone else, but our waitress brought out the one dinner right after the rest ordered. She never ask anyone if they wanted drink refills. We wasn't even half way done and was bringing out check and asking if we wanted a to go box. At least let us injoy our meal. I only got 4 pieces of asparagus and it was very tough. My steak had a lot of gristle and so did my dad's. With the horrible service, I'll probably never be back.
