I got to Arroyo Seco for pickleball and it’s a wonderful community.

The owners and coaches make an effort to know your name and make you feel welcome especially at the weekend socials.

They’ve installed 4 new beautiful permanent courts that’s an extra plus!

The adult clinics weren’t well put together. You more or less payed $350 to warm up for 20 min and then play king of the court for 70 min for 8 weeks. They didn't establish beginners / intermediate level players on different courts, just sort of mixed everyone

On the positive side, the facility is quite nice. The courts are in great shape and racquet stringing/regripping is available and they do a good job. The staff is friendly so long as you’re being reasonable.

ITennis in South Pasadena is just waste of time. The coaches here are just terrible. They let the kids pretty much spend majority of class playing game that are not tennis related. And especially for beginners, the coach will rarely give them any chance to try to hit the ball. The coaches are extremely slow in feeding the balls and rarely teaches the forms for kids. There are coaches who are late to the lesson, and the reason is them chatting with other coaches in another court, and didn’t seem to care to show up class 10-15 mins late.

Stay away from iTennis south Pasadena !!

ITennis in South Pasadena instructors DO not teach small kids how to hit the tennis ball at all.. They make them pass the ball, rolling it on the ground, in a circle with nine kids without clear directions. And the ball is lost with the third kid, never making it to the rest of the kids in the circle. The drills need to be broken down into several steps in a fun way for the kiddos. The multi step long winded directions are useless The kids are almost never taught how to hit the ball over the net or how to hold the racquet for any proper stroke
Glendale and Arcadia cities have better programs for kids, unless you want to pay iTennis south Pasadena $90/hr for private lessons and have your kid pickup balls Pros: close to a nice city park to have your kid play other sports and have real fun after a group lesson here.

Joined this club for pickleball court access a few years ago. Was extremely rewarding but in the past year has become increasingly impossible to book a court. There are 2 pickleball courts and with 112 pickleball members as stated by management. Despite a request to add courts, they continue to add members and limit play to weekend evenings. Do not join this club as you will be wasting money for access to courts that don’t exist.

This is a great racquet club with good service. It has four squash courts, so many tennis courts I would have to spend the time counting, and a plethora of tennis and squash balls. There also is free parking out front, although the outdoor parking lot is not very large. It is located near a golf course, small putting green, mini golf course, and a dog park (cute). Overall nice place.
