I recently got SDI SCUBA certified with Aquatic Ventures, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience than with Monica and Alex as our instructors. Mo and Alex are not only incredibly professional and knowledgeable, but they truly care about their students’ safety and learning process.

Huge shout out to Monica!!! She has a remarkable way of making you feel confident underwater, all while being a genuinely wonderful human being.

My group and I had the privilege of learning from her, and it's safe to say she left a lasting impact on all of us. Monica didn’t just teach us the skills to become SDI certified divers, she made us fall in love with the sport even more. On our final day, we had our open water dive near the Dania Beach Pier, and after completing the course, we had some time left in our tanks for a mini tour. Monica guided us through the reefs, pointing out so much wildlife we wouldn’t have noticed otherwise. It was so much fun, none of us wanted to get back to dry land! Alas... the tanks can only hold so much air.

If you’re thinking about getting SCUBA certified, I highly recommend Aquatic Ventures and specifically Monica Winn. She’s one of those instructors who truly makes a difference and you end up talking about, even years after being their student.

I recently completed the SDI Open Water Diving Course with Aquatic Adventures, and I can’t recommend this dive shop and Alex, my instructor, enough! From start to finish, the experience was professional, educational, and a lot of fun.

The Dive Shop:
Aquatic Adventures is incredibly well-organized and welcoming. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help, whether you’re purchasing gear, scheduling classes, or just asking questions. The equipment provided for the course was in excellent condition, and their attention to safety and cleanliness was very reassuring.

The Instructor:
Alex is an outstanding instructor. His expertise and passion for diving are evident in every aspect of his teaching. He made sure to tailor the lessons to the needs of each student, creating a safe and relaxed learning environment. Alex has a knack for explaining complex concepts in a simple and engaging way, and his calm demeanor underwater made me feel confident and supported at every step.

The Course:
The course itself was well-structured, combining classroom theory, pool sessions, and open water dives. Alex made sure we were thoroughly prepared before each stage, focusing on building both skills and confidence. By the time we got to the open water dives, I felt ready to handle the challenges and fully enjoy the experience.

The Highlights:
One of the best parts of the course was the personalized attention Alex provided. He took the time to address individual questions and give feedback, ensuring everyone mastered the skills. The open water dives were a particular highlight—getting to explore the underwater world for the first time under Alex’s guidance was unforgettable.

This is the best shop around. They host amazing dives with top tier guides. We have done all our trainings with this place, and they make you the best diver on the boat, which we can attest to with personal experience. The training and experience this shop leaves you with makes you more confident and capable! Moe, Karey, and the other trainers, will walk you through everything from gear, to disciplines, to dive sites.

I had an incredible experience at Aquatic Ventures. The instructors are outstanding, my class was led by Moe and Alex, they are both amazing! They are very knowledgeable, patient, and truly passionate about diving. They made me feel safe and confident throughout the entire process. The equipment was top-notch, well maintained, and the dive sites are close by. I don’t want to leave Kary and Evan out as they are always around to help with with any questions. I can’t recommend Alex and the team enough! Alex is an incredibly knowledgeable and passionate diving instructor who truly cares about his students.
