Initial 24 hours was rough for my dad: shared bedroom unable to have quiet/lights out and missed meds. However, after move to a private room, my dad was well taken care of and staff addressed all his needs. His two week stay was not without hiccups however staff was always responsive and attentive. Especially the assessments/ and hand off to a local SNF. Appreciate nursing staff: Y Johnson/CC and the PT team. Would encourage future patients/family to actively participate in insuring the 1823 information is correct before transferring to new facility.

Each and every day, they greet me by my name. I do not have to ask for a daily report because they tell me how he is doing from aides, nurses and PT. Every staff member is cheerful. They are well trained. They show respect for the patient. The area is very clean and one can feel the positive attitude. They give my husband great personal care. I am grateful for Keke. I do not have to worry because he is in great hands. I am so happy that I found a hidden gem.

We are so grateful for the amazing staff members at Ambassador. The Administrators, therapists, nurses, CNAs and other employees are so caring and responsive to our questions. So many of their staff go above and beyond for the patient on a daily basis! Although it is difficult to be separated from our loved one, it is comforting to know that he is treated with kindness and receives wonderful care each day.

My mother and I recently placed my father at Ambassador Healthcare at College Park. Having previously had my father at another facility, it is unfortunately not common to find a nice nursing facility and people who complain about this home clearly have no experience with skilled nursing facilities or understand the high level of staffing required to care for people and the expense that means for these businesses. We have been very impressed with everyone at this facility, the attentiveness and professionalism of the nursing staff and in particular the helpful nature of both Kelley in Admissions and Kaitlyn in Social Services to help a family navigate the process of putting a loved one in nursing care. Do not believe the negative reviews about this facility, I personally toured 8 facilities in the Fort Myers area and the camaraderie of the people there makes it clear that they care about providing a safe and comfortable place for people to rehabilitate or live long term.

Nurse Patrick called screaming and cussing at me and being verbally aggressive. When I reported it to the manager all I got was “ok. And what do you want me to do about this.” I would NOT trust your loved ones here!

So my Dad is here, following a severe ischemic stroke. I toured a bunch of rehab facilities before deciding on this one, and I definitely liked this one the best. The staff seem to like one another and the patients in their care. There was a level of positive casual interaction between everyone, which I did not see at the other facilities I toured. So this whole thing has been so hard. It’s amazing more people don’t talk about these profound changes people go through as they get older, and how heartbreaking it can be. Anyway, from the director, to the finance department. to the nurses and CNA team, to the therapy dept., everyone we met here seems to genuinely care and have limitless patience. And a good attitude . Obviously, this is so important when they’re dealing with people at their most vulnerable. The building is definitely older, but was definitely clean. I think they have a dog who runs around and a happy hour program, too. Very thankful we found this place.

My Dad is currently at Ambassador. He has been there for 2 weeks. I have a lot to say....good and not good at all. He had a stroke and has no use of his left side. He is there for PT and rehab. Now what is great: Tom, Tyler, Patrick, Brittany, CeCe and the wonderful KC. Very kind and conscientious. Some of the CNA's, but they are inconsistent. The site is clean, not posh but basic and comfortable. The food is fair BUT they don't even cut it up for stroke patients so if we aren't there he cannot eat it without the use of his left hand. This isn't rocket science. It should be a known thing to do for every stroke patient without the use of both hands. Early on they had my Dad in a low back wheel chair. I found him slumped over, where his roommate said he had been for THREE hours when I got there with no one to help him and he's too weak to do himself. Tom was helpful (PT man) and got him a highback wheelchair with an armrest. Again, someone/nurse there should had figured this out. They operate sometimes on a skeleton crew so they can go hours without seeing the patients, who are left alone and may not be able to call for help. Scheduling should be consistent (is PT 4, 5 or 6 days a week?) and more staff needed. Most of the staff is great but there needs to be a look at consistency with all these elderly people. Babies get great treatment, don't the elderly deserve just as much? My Dad may be there a while. I am hopeful someone reads this and steps up. I'd happily change my review.
