Good selection of stuff. Stopped after hitting the Halloween shop across the way. And needed something for dinner. Like how they have self checkout at the store.

I love the Lisbon aldis! I shop here almost every week. The store looks very clean and neat majority of the time and the prices are the best! Most of the staff here is very friendly, however I have noticed a lot of new employees over the last 6 months or so. I went in the other day and I was checked out by a younger girl with short orange hair. When I got to the register she asked if I found everything okay. I said “no I was looking for one thing and I couldn’t find it”. She didn’t even respond to me when I had said that. Then I asked how her day was going so far, and she didn’t answer me on that either. Normally when I get checked out at aldis the cashier is very friendly and starts a conversation with me so this was a bit strange, I figured she was new maybe. But on top of not being very friendly, she also didn’t smell the greatest. I don’t mean to say this in a rude way, but honestly it felt like it was hard to breathe around this cashier. I understand that anyone could be struggling right now and having a hard time with a number of things, but when I go to a store and buy my food for the week, I’d prefer if the person touching all of my food had good personal hygiene. And maybe was (at least) a little friendly to the customer. I would have used self checkout if I wasn’t paying with cash.

This is by far the best grocery store to shop at! This is a different type of grocery store but is cheap and effective. Make sure you bring a quarter for a grocery cart and your own Bags for your grocerys as they load your food back into your cart and you bag them yourself.
Some of the food here changes from time but the main bulk of it stays the same and in stock. Their produce is great as well as the basic necessities that you buy. Their milk is always around 1.20 for a gallon and eggs 1$ or less. Honestly we save so much money here by doing the bulk of our shopping here! You wont find namebrands here so much but whatever you dont find here you can shop for elsewhere but if you do the bulk of your shopping here you will save so much money.
Make sure you give this place a couple of tries before you say you dont like it because honestly it is the best place to shop around!

Im a regular at this store. I usually use self check out since I have a toddler. She likes to help scan, if it’s slow I’ll let her. Today I was using the shelf check out closet to the regular check out which had an employee checking out guest. I had two meat items that were labeled half off. So once I was finished scanning my items I pressed the help button, since the employee has to enter the discount. Once i pressed the button the sound went off and I seen him shut it off. I assumed he was going to finish scanning the customers items then come help me. Which is not problem. I’m looking over at him so in case he feels rushed I can tell him to take his time. He didn’t make eye contact once. But I still continued to be patient. Well he starts scanning the next person. Just like the last person. They had almost two carts of food. So Im like okay. When he almost finished I’ll press it again. When that happened it pressed it again. I watched him shut it off again. He didn’t look over at me or anything. He did get up and I assumed he was coming over to me, nope he went to do something at the Can return. My daughter was getting fussy. There’s people waiting at self check out. And then he goes to start checking another person out. So after more than 5 minutes waiting. I left. I left all my bags that I brought there full of food. Meats. And cold stuff. When I walked outside. There was an employee smoking. Maybe hire more people. Or update the barcodes if your employees don’t feel like they have to answer to the customers help request. Extremely disappointed in the lack of customer service. All it would of taken was a simple wave of acknowledgment. But definitely seemed like he was ignoring me on purpose

I just finished shopping here and they myst have new, horrible people working here. I didn't recognize them because we go there often.

I was in line, asked the girl how she was doing. I was nice as usual (I've worked customer service my entire life). Nothing. She was blonde.

She tossed everything in our cart, angrily. I had packages of meat she pulled out of the bag and tossed the meat and the bag in without putting it back, threw fragile items, just was throwing a tantrum.

I told her "I hope you have a better day." She said "I will, you too."

I tried finding someone to talk with and the only person on the floor was a shopper. She was very kind and contacted her manager via radio she always has immaculate, colorful makeup and is always, without fail, sweet). The manager's response was "what's the fuss," also very angrily. She wouldn't let the girl find out what was wrong with her angry interruptions.

After the manager making such a big deal I told the girl I would just come back later or contact corporate. She insisted on telling the manager and I didn't want to bother her since she was unable to multi-task, and went to my cart.

Since she stopped and talked to the girl I noticed she was tossing groceries, too, I showed her the state of the meat, and she made it very apparent she was uninterested in helping, like I was bothering her. She was a brunette.

Very uninterestedly she said "sorry it happened," while rolling her eyes.

I walked away to pack the rest of my grocies and told them I would just call corporate and leave a review.

As we left the store my friend did say "thanks for nothing," she said "you're welcome," my friend called back "eat me." Something totally out of my control. But considering the circumstances, it was just a friend standing up for me who was being treated like complete trash. I am grateful for her because I couldn't do it myself.

I've added photos of the groceries I thought to take a picture of. I was so upset I packed everything until we got to the meat where one bag broke and the pepper bag that exploded because it was tossed so hard. Now to see how well the chips fared. That girl and her manager were angry and incredibly confrontational. Neither have any business in customer service.
