Great facility great customer service. Water Aerobic Instructors are awesome some have different style of water aerobic trainings , Ms Dena is definitely my style she goes hard. Excellent Zumba classes if you can keep up 🤣overall I give the Y a 10 out of 10

The Albany YMCA has a very friendly staff that treats you like family. My daughter has been attending this facility since Kindergarten and now she is in the 3rd grade. I love the after school, summer and Holiday Camps.

This place is awful it's an old building that it needs to be demolished.
The swimming pool is nasty where nobody follows hygiene, the majority of people get in the pool without showering, I even have seen people with bandages.

70% of the time the sauna and Jacuzzi is out order.
They cleaned the floor with the towels that they provide to their customers, and then people wonders where they got the fungus and ringworms🤢🤮

This gym was not friendly. There are lots of older people that go here to workout that don’t have the same body type that I have as a young women. Adding also that most of the staff members and the people working are older people too . A lady that works there created a problem today for no reason when I was about to leave the facility. I forgot my pass and ran back to get it before it was thrown away. The lady was very harsh and felt to me a little racist. I am black and she was white. I had a shirt going in over my sports bra. I was told to wear a shirt in and out when working out. That day after I was done with the work out I was going out (literally outside not inside the facility), I did not have my tight shirt on because I was about to leave. I was done and outside. I thought I could leave because I was outside but remembered that I just dropped my pass in the hall way. And as I was coming back to go get the pass, she was yelling at me and harassing me to put my shirt on. I told her I was about to leave, and I was grabbing the pass which I showed her. She insisted on being disgruntle and not communicate better with me. This place is unprofessional and is not a good facility for family oriented to come here and work out then go home. I was treated unfairly and rudely. I did not do anything to disrupt. I went to this place with an intention to work out and that’s it. I had been there numerous times and had no problems with anybody. I’ve even seen this lady before working out but on this day I was a problem. I don’t know why today she was not nice to me.

Love this y ,me and my girls go there ,they like to workout and I like to swim which help my arthritis.. everyone is so friendly and it's clean too...

Great place to get fit and stay fit. However, I just recently started back going because of so much inappropriate language by our young men. I was upstairs on the weights, and two of them came in the weight room, one on the phone telling someone to come there and how he would be his ***. The language was very inappropriate, so I ended my workout and left.

Signed my daughter up for soccer early and once it had started I was informed they made a mistake and placed her in the wrong age group, by then all the spots had been filled. After many emails and voice-mails left he returned my call stating they would issue a refund, over a month later EJ (sports director) still hasn't refunded my money. Poor communication and would not recommend this program.

This place is heading nowhere fast. I paid for swimming lessons for my three boys. Before classes were ending the swim instructor fell and went to the ER, UNDERSTANDABLE. We show up and the young lady tells us, we have to reschedule, UNDERSTANDABLE. No one called, I waited a week and called them, I was told someone will give me a call, NEVER HAPPENED. My boys never made up their last two days, they never received a certificate of completion, and no one called still. On the flip side two out the three knows how to swim 🙄
