My husband and I just had our wedding at Ahwatukee Event Center in June and could not be happier with our choice of venue. Carolina was so kind and easy to work with during the planning stages and made sure we were happy every step of the way. She also had great communication so we were able to keep on a timeline and get everything done when we needed to. The staff on the day of were also so helpful and accommodating to make sure all the guests were happy. The venue was beautiful - with a ceremony room, reception room, outdoor patios, and a huge outdoor bar (which was a hit!). Not to mention, the scenic background of the south mountains and sunset were incredible and a great photo opportunity for guests. We definitely recommend this venue as it is perfect for a wedding or any parties and the staff were AMAZING!!! We will be planning events here in the future!

Had my baby’s 1st birthday here and the venue was beautiful and spacious! The event specialist Carolina was easy to work with, she was very friendly and accommodating. The other staff were also really nice.

We had our wedding dinner and reception here. It was a little confusing with all of the staff changes, especially just before the date of our event. But, I am happy to say that everything turned out beautifully. Mary, even though we had not met before the event, was very helpful throughout the evening. The security guard was even helpful during the clean up of the event. I am happy we decided to choose Ahwatukee Event Center for our wedding venue. Everyone had a great time.

I had my wedding there almost 2 years ago, I was looking through pictures and decided this place needs to be known about. First I would like to say I live in North Dakota, and Carolina went above and beyond helping me plan my big day with me being so far away, she made it an absolute breeze from sending pictures of everything to drawing seating charts to show many ways they could set the room up for me, they also allowed me to come in 2 days ahead to decorate so I could not stress the day or morning before. If you are looking for a reasonable but beautiful place to host anything this is it. The Arizona sunset set is marvelous and needs to be taken advantage of for pictures which they have since the view is over a golf course to look at mountains and not to mention the lights they have outside to enhance a night to remember.
Just an added plus when you leave all you have to do is take what belongs to you they put all the chairs and tables away also for my situation I didn't want to move rooms so as soon as my ceremony was over they came and rearranged the room for me. I'm not sure if it is still allowed but the fact that we could bring our own food and beverages made having a wedding, a destination wedding at that way more budget friendly.

DO NOT RECOMMEND this venue the staff is unprofessional, rude, unaccommodating and extremely racist. The ceremony was set to begin at four and guests were told they could not go in and she didn’t open the doors until someone called the groom and told him they weren’t being let in around 420. The ceremony was delayed by half an hour and the groom thought no one showed up. The evening went downhill from there. This woman Brie was pulling the bride and groom into her office like a high school principal because she was watching the cameras and didn’t seem to want anyone to enjoy their time She ruined what should have been a special day for the bride and groom. She repeatedly insulted the professional bartender guests, the grooms parents and the bride and groom. She scared the kids and made them go into a room and told them they couldn’t come out and had the grooms mother sitting in there for over an hour. She accused the grooms dad of losing her keys, which she never had. She had the guests looking for her lost keys. She was also saying if anyone wants to know, my name is Brie my boss is Suzanne and I live on 51st and Maryvale. She ruined this day for the bride and groom and they should get a refund or compensation.

This is a absolutely beautiful place. We had our wedding there. Easy and fast service!!
You can bring your own food and decoration, so comfortable. Nice view from the windows. Very affordable, you get more than you pay. I defenetly can recommend this place.

This place deserves 0 stars I had to give a star to leave a review. The level of unprofessionalism from the staff is unbelievable. Susan and Lisa especially, their approach and back and forth changes with communication is disrespectful and unacceptable. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

I recently attended a wedding here and had the worst wedding experience. The “woman” there in charge, Brie, was the most unprofessional and rude person. She had a negative attitude and was talking very condescendingly to everyone involved in the wedding party. Everything was spoke with a very disrespectful tone and with a condescending smirk. She kept everyone attending waiting outside and would not let them in until the wedding was scheduled to start which postponed everything back behind schedule. There were multiple guests who were accosted verbally by this person. She yelled at children in attendance and forced them into a room and had them scared to even do anything because “the lady” told them they had to stay there. She also told their parents the children were acting ghetto. She was either in person causing a disturbance to the bride and groom at every corner and they should have been left to enjoy their special day. We were told that water needed to be moved from the bar because children appeared to be getting served which was completely inaccurate and was monitoring the entire venue by camera. Any attempt at conversation was met with the same derogatory tone and smirks. If she actually had any clue how to be an event coordinator she would have had a much better concept of how an event should flow. She accused people of lying and then called several people derogatory names including “white trash” and then proceeded to state she was from Maryvale as if some threat to everyone. When asked for her name and manager she then shouted to everyone that her name was Brie and that her manager is Suzanne if anyone wanted to know. We were also told she is only doing what her manager wants from an event there and if true nobody there has any tact. From the start everything was met with unprofessionalism and contempt. I would never recommend this place to anyone for an event especially if this person is still there. No customer service skills or any kind of event planning skills.
