Place is typically ran terribly. Kicked out for lightning 10 miles away yet it’s a “swim at your own risk” facility lacking lifeguards. No heater, barely any true amenities for those of us required to pay HOA fees, kept up poorly, not ran by the actual homeowners, over packed in the summer- yet they continue to allow other neighborhoods to opt in and most of us cannot opt out. Very misleading. Consider buying elsewhere before forced in here.

Have lived here since before it even opened, here’s the deal. Some “local guide” left a review and compared the annual fee to one trip to McDonalds per month for a family of 4, lol. The fee is just an annoying variable and in that analogy, I wouldn’t drive to McDonald’s order nothing and still hand them $65 through the drive through and then get a convenience fee (2.99) for paying my fee through the window. The whole requirement to “buy in” is not a community benefit it’s an extra inconvenience for those who don’t or can’t use it.

If this is an “amenity” that is considered in your move to Viera, do not have it in the positives side of your ven diagram.
Pools only usable 6 months of the year because they don’t heat it. During that time it’s overcrowded and they close it for maintenance issues a handful of times each year.
Basketball court is indoor partial half court and is set on a reservation schedule so the most applicable use times for recreation are taken when you just want to play a pick up game. No fitness center, and the “outdoor” calisthenics area is a joke solution they added years after the fact. They routinely rent the space out including the pool area for non resident groups for a fee and then close it to residents during that time.
Every year the membership cost goes up despite the increase in families building new homes and having to also pay into the mandatory membership.
Really it’s just another way to skim 10s of millions more $ off the backs of the residents over time with low ROI for the potential users.

Pool maintenance is horrible. Pool repairs have closed the pool for several days. Resurfacing of the pool area is needed only after 5 years of use. Dues keep going up. No homeowner members can see the operating budget.

A literal scam. Forced to pay in, and refuse to listen to community feedback, despite profiting millions from the community. When asked for new things to be added they just say “no”, cause that would require actual work being done.
They are just stealing money and laughing at people at this point.

Came as a guest for a local resident and played pickleball ball. An amazing and beautiful facility with friendly people. I am immensely jealous that I don't live nearby!

Went to my daughter's classmate's pool party. Bathrooms were very clean for the pool, and stocked. The pool itself was super cool, especially for the kiddos. Had a large dumping bucket that would fill up, spill, and soak anyone under it.
We had a lot of fun!

So thankful to Addison Village Club, specifically Barbara Ketchum! My son had a moment of need while we were enjoying the pool and I was really uncertain how to help him. The Lifestyle Director, Barbara, noticed I was struggling to figure out what to do. She kindly offered advice and encouraged me through our vulnerable moment. I don't know what I would've done without her. Thank you, Barbara!
As for the facility, it was beautiful and clean, and the pools were spacious and perfect for little kids.
