The course is challenging, without being excessively difficult. There is no driving range, so show up "loosened up".
I have a slice and I was able to find my balls along the right edge on almost every hole. There are some fun holes over water.

The one thing this course desperately needs is a polite (again: polite) ranger rolling around keeping the evening leagues moving! We played 9 and were 30m behind pace halfway through. We watched league players practice 3 or 4 swings in the fairway and 7 swings over a putt while they had 4 groups backed up behind them. 3h 15m for 9 holes is gross.

Single digit handicap here... This course is in horrible condition!... Half of the course is brown and dead, dirt spots everywhere, some of the greens were mowed, some of them weren't, and a few were just aerated for some reason, in August, probably because of the fungus problem and half of them are dying! Not one green rolled the same as the next, completely inconsistent by a considerable difference... There is no driving range to warm up, and the one small putting green is in terrible shape and doesn't even closely resemble the actual greens on the course... There was no cart girl for refreshments, and the ONE water jug on the course was empty... This course is not worth the $40 to play it during the week, and we will NOT be returning... Do better Tara Hills!! Total garbage....

I was driving down Giles and caught a golfball square in the windshield which will need to be replaced. I am not surprised that they declined taking responsibility or offering to pay for a new one. However, I did ask that they install a taller fence and was told it would be considered. I would be happy to remove this review if they do.

I forgot how nice Tara Hills is. I’ll need to play more often. What I really enjoyed was how considerate the grounds keepers were. They stopped their mowers if there were close. Outstanding!

I play this course quite frequently and it’s been a fun public course. My only concern are that golfers don’t take care of the green and course divots. I enjoy playing here and will continue to!

It's pretty good for a city course. The staff in the clubhouse is amazing. Everyone is always very friendly and helpful, but the grounds crew... I don't know how it is so difficult to rake bunkers after it rains. They were better the last round, but the normal state for the bunkers is concrete. I guess if you don't hit it in the traps, you're good! They have done a lot of tree cleanup the last couple of years, too, which is much appreciated.
