If I could give zero stars, I would. I registered for this league after taking a year off, thinking it would get better. The week before opening, I was emailed there is no coach. For the second year in a row. I have been reaching out to the league for months with no response for a refund. They are quick to charge you for registration, but will ignore refund requests. I would advise to find any other organization for your children.

0 stars people. Go to another region.. Playground league coach Vanessa is the worst. Always 20 minutes late, practice was always about 10-15 ONLY. Ignores emails and doesn't teach the kids anything. She is very rude and cold to the kids. She will not care to learn your name or your kids' name. The league is impossible to get ahold of. I sent multiple emails asking for a start date and would not receive a response. I was starting to think I was scammed. I got a start date with no time information so the request for that was ignored. I just waited at the park for hours until she showed up and I found out later she was late to the first day lol. It's ridiculous parents don't sign your kids up here. We're human and we all make mistakes but the coach doesn't care about the kids. And that I can't forgive, the region shouldn't have a coach like that teaching small children.

Edit: it gets worse. After having never received a response from the email on the region's website I was charged $200 for registration. Keep in mind that every time I log in to the website for sign ups it indicates that there is No Program Available for my son. It has always shown that there is no program available. That is why I emailed them multiple times. Now I have been charged for a program that has never been available and I have never received a response about. There is no indication of when the season starts, no messages on my account page, no phone number, no email response.

This has to be one of the worst run organizations I have ever tried to engage with.

Couldn't sign up on the website. I have emailed a question multiple times while giving a week for response each time and have never heard back from them.

Nice spacious park, plenty of green grass for enjoying some catch or just running around. There's two playground areas for kids of different ages, toddlers and bigger kids. They can get pretty hot in those high heat days, wear pants or avoid. They could use more coverage, I suppose.

The most disorganized region. How is it fair for some teams to be practicing and others are still waiting to hear from a coach due to these background checks. All teams should start at the same time!! The way they choose kids for the teams is shady too. If I signed my kids up back in May, then they should be on a team. This region is ridiculous.

I have emailed three times and no response. I registered my daughter back in May and paid in full. No call from a coach and no response on what's going on. This feels like a take your money and run situation now that I looked at their refund policy. Games start this weekend and I have paid $200 for nothing.

We have the field reserved for LaCrosse practices Tuesdays and Thursdays. Bakersfield Youth LaCrosse League is open to girls and boys.
Unfortunately other sport teams without reservations continue to try and use the BYLL reserved fields.
Since these fields are heavily used there is very little grass on the fields.

Sam and Janelle Walker are great representatives of 359. As for the others, not so good. Our daughters have been playing for AYSO 359 for over 5 years and I've been a ref and coach as well. As a family of 5, we've invested money and time to 359 but don't receive the respect every parent deserves in a league. Each year during the tournaments, there are a few woman at the table, that rarely move, but are ready attack any parent that approaches them with a problem or question. It's been said , by more than one parent, to "walk on thin ice" if you need to ask a question or have a concern to the ladies of the table. There are 3 individuals that are obvious bullies. This will be our last year with 359. I know I'm not the only parent that have complained about these woman, and I'm sure I wont be the last.
