My daughter loves the counselors and free play in nature. The organized activities are also a hit: obstacle course, animal visits, marshmallow roasting, and trade blanket. Thank you for a great camp, even in the rain!

My daughter is crazy about nature, she is the one who comes home with stones, sticks, leafs in her pockets! We discovered the young naturalist club around 3 years ago, and since then my daughter doesn't want anything else, only them! They teach and do so many activities that you will never do with your child 🙂 the staff is super friendly, open and loving! Best aftercare and camp for kids!

This was my kid's favorite camp of the summer! We did Water Week and Survival Skills, and both were awesome in their own way. My kids especially liked the chickens and bunnies at the home location, and all the activities (shelter building, archery, walking to parks) at the REAP Center location. Oh, and I have to mention the daily treasure hunt and finally finding the "buried treasure" at the end of the week- how magical and clever. What I think made it outstanding though was that it was smaller- about 14 kids with 3 counselors. The counselors were fun, nice, and engaging. Thank you for making this such a successful summer!!!

Our daughter attended the Spring Break camp and gave it "two very high thumbs up". She foraged, splashed, and adventured and loved every second. We will be sending her again in the Summer!

Both of my kids (7 and 5) love the program. My son is now in his third session and my daughter in her second. They learn new skills, make friends, and expand their joy of the world around us. They love showing me what they learn about during the program — whether showing me where the wild grapes grow on the beach or what plants are edible. Thank you!

Our daughter loved this camp! Lots of free play, lots of fun activities, really enjoyed her counselors. She is very insistent that we come back next summer.

Our daughter attended camp here over the holidays. She came home everyday pretty dirty and tired, but said it was amazing and she loved it everything they did: learning about different plants, beekeeping, caring for wildlife, seeing the sheep, making campfires, and eating/making her own pizza on the last day! Thanks to all the counselors for giving her those great memories!!

Both of my extremely different kids found something they loved about their time with Mr. David at Alameda Young Naturalist Club. Lilly (age 9) loved that she could be with her friends in a safe and nurturing environment where her endless questions were answered with knowledge and kindness. Arthur (age 5) loved running around exploring the island of Alameda and building things with real tools! For me, the best part of Alameda Young Naturalist Club was that my kids came home dirty and tired which is how I know they had a great time and played hard!
