As someone who has come here for over a year because it was the only place close by and I didn’t have a car, This place is “ok- meh”.

If bare minimum was a place, it’s this gym. Their customer service is not the best. Just read how they argue with every reviewer in the comments.

Pros:
- Not usually busy
- Good machines, occasionally need tuning up, but it’s hard to get a hold of staff or make a request machines get fixed if you don’t go from 10-6
- Good crowd of gym goers

Cons:
- They charge an $80 enrollment fee, 60$ biannual fee, 75$ cancellation fee
- Staff is barely around so asking them to fix or tend to something is hard.
- Not open on holidays and their hours on Google, the door, and online are usually wrong.
- They’ve had a hole in the ceiling that water comes in from for like 2 year. They put buckets in front of the chest fly machine to catch all the water. (see photos)
- They rarely clean the men’s bathroom and sometimes it smells. I’ve gone to the gym days in a row and the soap isn’t filled up or the same pee stains or stains under the hand dryer are still there. When I’ve approached staff, they lie and say they did it “yesterday” even though I was there yesterday. (See photos) Happened on numerous occasions.
- Only 1 of 3 sinks work in the men’s bathroom and the soap dispensers are either broken or they suck. If you stick your hand under it to get soap, like 3 drops of soap come out. Not even kidding. I told the lady about the state of the handwashing situation and she rolled her eyes at me.
- Water filter for the bottle station desperately needs to be changed cause it has a mildew taste. To make sure I wasn’t crazy, I’ve talked to two other gym goers there and they agreed.
- They don’t communicate with their customers. They barely promote the classes they have and they don’t let people know about updated seasonal hours.
-When you cancel your membership, you have to turn in your fob 30days before you lose access. This means you have limited access to the facility you’re still paying for for a whole month because you have to go when the juice bar is open.
- I personally don’t like the juice bar smoothies or juices. Womp
- Any time I’ve made a request or told the lady about an issue, dear lord does she have an attitude.

All around, I get the impression this place is run by people who like the idea of running a gym, but hate handling the maintenance side.

By far the worst gym in Illinois period. the gym is dirty and filthy. If you don't believe me just pass by and look at the outside window. hasn't been clean or wash in over a year. $80 enrollment fee maintenance fee of $49 on Jan 1st and July 1st. the equipment is outdated and broken. The equipment is outdated and broken. this is 2024 no gyms are charged you outrageous enrollment fees and locking you into a contract. I guarantee if you were pass by this place anytime of the day you see no more than 5 cars in the parking lot and 3 of them are staff members.

Pretty solid gym, lots of room to try all the machines. The team there has been friendly to me. I think it’s important to be graceful to them because it’s a small staff. Only thing to note is, the cleaning could be a bit improved, I say that graciously. Anyway the smoothie bar is cool and the calisthenics space is always available.

During the pandemic, they closed and moved without telling me. When I called, they acted like I should know what's going on. I didn't realize they moved all the way to North Ave. The new facility with parking was nice, and there usually wasn't anyone there. Some of the machines consistently didn't work and it seemed kind of dirty, but it was fine. I ended up cancelling because the rec center opened and was pleasantly surprised when the process was simple.

This gym was a decent facility to use during the pandemic because they are rarely busy. However, after a few months of steady attendance, I grew to regret my decision of joining this gym. I knew something wasn't right when the manager, Lynn ran through all the random fees they have while I was signing up. However, I bit the bullet and joined anyway because my husband was a member.

-God forbid you forget your key fob, they will make it very difficult to get in because there isn't a consistent person working during the open hours. I accidentally forgot my fob and Lynne was very rude when I called about the situation to try to get in. This gym seems to be ran by people who want to own a business, but don't want to really do the work that it takes to run a gym AND provide quality customer service.
-They initially advertised as a 24 hour gym, however, they close at 9pm during the week and 5pm on weekends.
-Men and women share a small locker room, which is rarely cleaned and most of the locker doors are broken.
-They have a smoothie/sandwich cafe that is open during the day, but the hours are very unpredictable, depending on when the employees want to work. This cafe is actually the best part of the gym because the food is really good, but again, good luck trying to get someone to actually work to make something.
-I have belonged to several gyms and have never seen employees walk around and tell their patrons what to do with the equipment. NEVER. People might forget to put weights up, or drop them if they're heavy. IT'S A GYM. Don't even think about laying a jacket down in the gym area.
-Oh and they have so many fees if you decide you want to cancel which I haven't experienced at previous gyms that I have been a member of. Why do you need a $150 cancellation fee for a gym membership with no contract? That seems like a contract to me.
BUYER BEWARE: You get what you pay for.

Update based on the business's response: Clearly the response below is a specific representation and further emphasizes the lack of quality customer service and management's inability to receive and professionally respond to constructive feedback. I won't waste any more time refuting the response line by line, but my main piece of advice would be to really go through the contract and fees with a fine tooth comb before you join. Don't just look at the low monthly dues because you will end up paying in the end. There are several other reviews below that mention concerns with the contract and fees.

Both my husband and I had separate concerns that we wanted to share, but that doesn't make us bullies. This forum is meant for users to share their honest thoughts, so I left a constructive review. I have never violated any of the gym policies, so that statement simply untrue along with other statements in the response. My favorite sandwich is actually the chicken on the torta bread. Never had the steak. Thanks for the extra promo towards my review! It’s clear they are lacking in customer service but also in understanding how consumers utilize Google reviews.

I have been a member for more than 8 years. I have always enjoyed my time spent at the club so much that I usually work out twice a day. The new club on North ave in Oak Park is state of the art. There is new equipment and plenty of space between machines to comply with covid protocols. Lynn and Don are great club managers who are both Very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive to any concerns you may have. I love the juice bar!!! Club is well ventilated, always clean with cleaning supplies located near every workout area. It is number ONE on my list of gyms to attend. GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!! YOU CANT GO WRONG WITH THIS ONE!

I registered to the gym for a month, to try it out. I was pleasantly surprised by the number of equipments and ambiance. In another gym where I used to be a member of (outside Illinois), it was always crowded , and unorganised. Staff is welcoming, good equipment (I don t have to wait to use an equipment), good community of members and clean facility which is what I look for as a customer.

I am currently considering to extend my membership (hoping for a good rate I heard they run promotions from time to time, fingers crossed there will be one before my month ends).

I also like the fact there is a juice bar where I can quickly grab my protein shake before walking out. I definitely recommend to try both services.

Very unprofessional business practice. Membership is ridiculous for a non 24 hour gym.. $80 startup fee and a annual maintenance fee of $100.00. And you only have access to certain areas of the gym. And equipment look very generic. I was there on a Monday evening. I counted like eight people in the whole gym. Which really isn't bad. I don't like crowded gym. It just tell you something is wrong. The staff is very arrogant and offensive when you ask hard question.
