I love this school for our daughter…it’s been an incredibly supportive environment. She’s always had top grades but the emotional stress of other schooling options has been tough. Montverde does an incredible job of uplifting all the kids and making them believe in themselves and feel comfortable at school.

The baseball program recruits players and provides them free education and housing and gets all the coaches attention. If you’re looking to move your child to the school to give them what you think is a better opportunity to be a part of a incredible baseball organization and receive incredible coaching. Look a little harder in another direction. Academically this is a great school but we chose the school thinking we were going to offer our son a better opportunity to advance to a college level and they failed him miserably.

My daughter just joined the school this year. She came from Baylor school in TN, so far she loves the school. Great environment, teachers, dorm parents are caring and nurturing. She is a boarder and trust me, she knows the difference since at a young age, she is basically on her own. My husband and I are so grateful because Montverde really took a late application from us. I do recommend the school to any sensible parents looking for a great education and athletic program.

It’s our first year at MVA and it’s been really great. A few bumps along the way as our son did just start middle school, so that was something new in itself, but it had nothing to do with MVA. We have received nothing but sincere support from teachers, faculty and the dean - always ready to answer any questions or concerns we may have had, always ready to talk to the students - very reassuring and caring. Our son is really happy at MVA, and proud to be a part of the community! We’re not going anywhere 🙂

I have to laugh that students are giving low ratings because the school blocks websites. Yes, as a parent I LOVE that the school blocks inappropriate websites on campus...its a SCHOOL. Great academics, very culturally diverse, great fine arts, and yes, great athletics. Some of these reviews are laughable. Rape and smoking weed The school drug tests every student--even athletes. And everyone is held accountable. Those who fail or refuse drug tests are dismissed. And as parent I LOVE that! Fantastic school based on 12 years of attendance.

By far the best private school in Lake County; the school has been around for more than 100 years and has created a culture of success; I am so glad my children have had the opportunity to attend and meet other children from the local community and around the world. Well worth the investment!

excellent opportunity for my children. one has graduated and one is still there. They have both received a superior education in a safe and nurturing environment; we are blessed to have this opportunity and despite what an "ex" might say I would gather that's why they are an ex. Headmaster of the school leads with strength, and I am glad I am no longer at a school where the parents run the show as I was at a prior school not far away. He does care about athletics but I have seen him put as much energy and enthusiasm into the academic program and fine arts; I think he actually comes from a fine arts background himself. Good stuff all the way around.
